Replacement Perfect@
I had a timer exactly like this for years and tgen dropped it. Hard lsnding. Broke. Because most timers are now figital I thought I might not find a replacement. This one is exactly like my former one. I really like the shape, numbers and especially the distinct ring. For someone with vision and/ or hearing issues it is a perfect timer!

Great timer, loud ringer!
My previous two kitchen timers were old and yellowed after nearly 4-decades. While I have a battery operated LED timer, I really wanted an "old fashioned" one with a loud bell ringer. This item did not disappoint. This timer is perfect for this hard of hearing person. Works perfectly and loud bell ringer is a welcome sound.

BATTERIES NOT REQUIRED!
EXCELLENT TIMER THAT DOES NOT REQIRE BATTERIES. LARGE DISPLAY IS EASY TO SET AND READ. MUST BE PROPERLY WOUND TO FUNCTION.

A timer for the ages
About TIME someone made a mechanical timer just like the one my grandmother used. None of this fancy electronic stuff. I will be able to time bakes after the apocalypse, you will be looking at your cold dead smart phone.

Timer works in a strange way.
You have to wind the clock up every time you use it by turning the dial to 55 minutes then turning it back to the time you want. Not a very user friendly timer.

Better if operating were easier
Seems like a good timer......but..........I find the necessity to activate it cumbersome. One has to wind it forward to around 55 and then wind it back to the number of minutes one wants. I have other timers that I have to simply wind once to the number of minutes I need.

Yes, it's a Timer
Pure emotional nostalgia to hear the ticking sound and bell of a windup clock. (We have i Phones, after all). It falls short of perfect nostalgia - in that - the ticking sound is quiet, and the alarm bell lacks the - well - alarming authority that announces 'time's up!'. But it's round, ticks, and rings a bell. Everything that i wanted. :)
