Haven't owned any Majority products before and must admit I hadn't heard of them either. Some googling revealed them as a self-made british company with a competent history who pride themselves in the quality of their wares as well as their track record and rating, which was encouraging. I don't like spending more than £30 on portable music players AND I also tend to run them into the ground, so it's a purchase I only make every few years where value for money is an absolute priority.As usual I read reviews across the rating spectrum beforehand and had some apprehension about the UI which several people had said was awkward, however it turns out it's straightforward, self explanatory, and simple enough to figure out without using the manual, and the only thing that takes minimal adjustment to is using left-to-right buttons to cycle up or down in the menu, which to be honest isn't really a complaint-worthy feature. It is also pleasingly responsive with no noticeable lag when traversing it's well laid out options. The analogue clock screensaver is a nice touch, and it appears to have a wallpaper option too, which I am looking forward to personalising. So far it has flawlessly saved the initial system preferences I put in place when setting it up.The sound quality is perfectly adequate, lending rich bass and depth to the many different genres I loaded onto it. The loading itself was as straightforward as could be, as some other reviewers had pointed out it doesn't offer the fastest transferral speeds you'll see (for the 7 gigs of files I drag and dropped in one go...) but nor is it too slow, seems to be the same as any other player of this price.The blutooth seems much better than my previous player, providing a solid connection from the bottom of my jean pocket as well as my hoodie pocket, and it also held up while walking through town and being surrounded by dozens of other people and their devices, which is normally where older blutooth software falters and begins to stutter. It also paired quickly with my headphones, and when booting the player up since I've noticed there is no extra step to turning blutooth on each time, you just cycle to it in the main menu, select it and it's already searching, so you only need to activate it once during set up, and it can of course be disabled at any time should you wish.The build feels solid and robust, and while light it's not so light you wouldn't know it's there which is reassuring. I also like how it's ever so slightly larger than traditional budget players, and sits more comfortable in my hand. As well as featuring a handy slide lock switch on the top there is enough resistance to the button clicks for accidental pocket pressing to be a thing of the past which is a huge step up from my last player, thank god!Battery life so far is extremely good and as hefty as advertised.VERDICT: Definitely worth buying if you're looking for an affordable, user friendly, and durable music player to sustain you through a workout, long haul flight, shopping trip, train journey, etc.

This compact device has a great many things going for it. It is incredibly easy to transfer your music and podcasts to, and organising things is straightforward. Sound quality is pretty good and battery life is perfect for a week of commuting. It lacks a little in terms of accessing your music of choice at speed but that's fine when considering the great value. The Bluetooth functionality works well and makes it ideal for those wanting a compact player with little fuss.

The product pictures make this device look quite big, however it is very small. That being said, it's a cracking little MP3 Player from British business Majority. I already own a Majority DAB Radio and that is an excellent product, so I felt confident ordering this device. The interface is easy to use, and battery life is excellent. It has a 3.5mm jack socket should you wish to listen with wired headphones. However it is Bluetooth 5.0 enabled, so you can listen with wireless headphones. It has 16gb of internal storage, which is anywhere around 2000 to 4000 songs depending on the individual file sizes. The device supports most music file types, including MP3 and WMA. Transferring music onto the device is easy, just connect the included USB cable to your computer or laptop and copy over the files you wish to transfer. I transferred about 12.5gb of files, with took around 1 hour and 20 minutes. Overall for the price, this is a small but super device. Highly recommend. Five stars.

Perfect for what I was looking for - small, lightweight, cheap bluetooth MP3 player for running so I dont have to carry my phone with me.Easy to use, works well.So far so good, cant complain for the price!

This was, sadly, not for me. Upon arrival I gave it a thorough test drive and very quickly discovered it had a fatal flaw in the software/firmware. I loaded some tunes (all in their independent artist folders and album sub folders) onto a micro SD card and then attempted to listen to the tracks on the device. Straight away it became apparent that in "folder" view (to select and play tracks) that some songs couldn't be skipped... pressing the forward or back buttons simply restarted that same track. Pretty much a disaster for that alone but I also found that numbered tracks (say 01 -> 12) would be listed out of numerical order and would start at 04, play 05 then 06 but then play 09 then 08 then 02, 03, 07 etc. Bonkers if you're trying to listen to scripts, plays, edited audio books, voice notes or if an album has (or you want it) to be played in a specific order as intended by the artist. The other "play" mode was so clumsy that something from 1998 would have outclassed it. The only solution to solve these frustrations was to start building playlists - and I simply don't have the time and patience to faff about with hundreds of artists, thousands of albums and bajjilions of tracks. Lastly, it only showed album artwork on a few albums which means it's nowhere near as forgiving the picture file type and/or size embedded into the mp3 as would a modern phone from the last 10 years+Other than that, it's a really handy size and weight. The buttons are easy to use and get the hang of. It sounded pretty decent through some wireless headphones. Other than that, I can't really comment for any other features as I sent it straight back as it couldn't deliver the basics for me. However, if you're not fussy about the running order of tracks or are prepared to be super patient creating custom play lists then it *might* be worth considering - but please do your own research first!
