Bose New Smart Ultra Soundbar with Dolby Atmos Plus Alexa, Wireless Bluetooth AI Surround Sound System for TV, Black

The setup process takes really long time. In my case around 1 hour. During the first setup, the bar updates its firmware. Even though I have 300Mbps JioFiber plan, it still took 45 mins to download the 500MB update file. Reason? The bar downloads the software from Bose USA servers (no Indian servers I guess) so the speed is really slow like 700-800 KB/s. Max it reaches 1.5MB/s and then falls back. After that it failed to install in the first try. Had to manually force the bar to install the update by pressing "Music" button on the remote for 10 seconds.You can also use a PC/Laptop to update the bar via its USB-C port, incase wifi update fails. That's how I came to know its file size and the download speed.MIDRANGE/DIALOGUE: Now coming to sound quality, its amazing. You don't even have to turn the "Dialogue" mode on to hear vocals in a movie. Its so clear and crisp. Usually in other soundbars you have to turn on Dialogue mode to hear the words being said, which then suppresses the background sound, but not here. Just set the center channel to +30 and you are good to go.BASS: I was really surprised with the bass output. Didn't expect such a tiny soundbar to produce this much bass. When its set to +40, the bass of Bose 900 matches that of Edifier S1000MKII(set to neutral). Just great. Don't get me wrong though. The bass is not "sub-woofer" level bass. You need dedicated sub-woofer for that. I am talking about woofer driver's bass. My Edifier S1000MKII has 5.5inch woofer drivers, and this tiny soundbar matches its bass. It punches above its weight.TREBLE: What more to say? Bose is always great at trebles.ATMOS(Upward firing speakers): Sorry I didn't hear or feel any objects flying or moving above my head while watching movies. Don't expect Atmos from tiny soundbars. Get a proper home theatre system with receiver and ceiling speakers to get that Atmos experience.A week ago I bought Sony HT-A3000 to pair it with my Sony X90L. I was so disappointed with that soundbar. Couldn't hear the dialogues clearly. Turn the "sound field" setting on and you would want to throw it away. It sounds so artificial and boxy. So this time went with Bose. Music/movies everything sounds so much better with Bose 900, much much better. Almost every speaker/soundbar will sound good at high volumes. The real challenge is to sound good at low to mid volumes. And Bose delivers it. My search for soundbar ends here.

Overwhelmed to recieve such a fanatic product by BOSE.Thanks for this..unboxing was so exciting..recieved the product in a good condition by delhivery..the soundbar was so easy to begin with..connected smoothly to my wifi..updated in just about 20 minutes..and thats it. Connected to bluetooth as a charm.I connected the hdmi & adaptiq headset and calliberated the soundbar as per my room acoustics (not tried the optical cable yet) and kudos here we go...mindblowing sound and music experience with BOSE 900 smart ultra device.Dolby atmos experience is great (HDMI > BLUETOOTH) as compared to other soundbars(obviously not as comparable with that of a subwoofer one)but yes u dont need a subwoofer with this..u will get same experience with this little device..Its been less than a week..and till now great experience with it.no flaunts yet.Will update a long term review after about a month of use.Thanks amazon and BOSE.

This premium Soundbar 900 from Bose takes home audio to the next level with such a simplistic, sleek and elegant design.Design: Fits right in front of your TV (preferable TV screen size 50inch or more) and the black colour with its glass top blends just perfect. Cannot expect anything better in terms of the design.Setup and Installation: Everything is managed just rightly through the Bose music app and the installation was very smooth and easy. Many reviews stated the installation process took very long during the software updates but I personally did not face any issue. If someone is not very comfortable with self installation, Amazon has the arrangement for installation service.Sound Quality: The Smart Soundbar 900 on its own produces a beautiful blend of sounds (Mid, Bass, Treble) balances out appropriately once you have completed the Audio Calibration with their AdaptIQ accessory. The centre, side and upward drivers ensures the room is filled with sound giving a cinematic experience. A la crate option exists in music app where you can further adjust these levels as per your needs. Personally I didn’t find it necessary to change any EQ settings after the calibration. Surround sound effect is extremely good but don’t expect it will give a absolute 5.1 channel experience. Get the additional rear speaker if you really want that effect. But you can always decide on such add ons after purchasing the Soundbar and whether it meets your need.Whether you should go for an additional Bass module: For a true cinematic experience getting that punch of the depths or while listening to music getting the right hits from the bass, drums and percussions, it’s highly recommended to get a Bass Module 500 or 700. Bear in mind, the Soundbar itself has very good capability of producing good bass and further adjusting the EQ you can enhance the bass as well. But sometimes you may feel it’s lacking as after all you are looking for that home theatre experience.Overall very much satisfied with this purchase and highly recommended.
