Great little radio, well made, good reception, British brand and competitively priced.
TL;DR - excellent little radio from a British brand with DAB and FM, well made and 40% cheaper than a Roberts. Go for it!I was in the market for a small radio, mainly to listen to the BBC local radio football commentary on FM when at the match, as my old Sony portable FM radio was a bit big to fit in my coat pocket, had manual tuning that seemed to lose the station a lot, and only had a mono output so didn't work well with my stereo earphones. I also wanted to be able to get non-FM channels like BBC Radio 5 live, and even though you can get this on the BBC Sounds app on a smartphone, I liked the idea of not being distracted by looking at a phone screen late at night, so was keen for the radio to be DAB.I was going to buy a Roberts Sports DAB5, but was a bit put off by the £50 price tag, so thought I'd see what other options there were. I had never heard of Majority before, and assumed it was one of those made-up Amazon brands, but having seen the What Hi-Fi review label on the listing, I thought I'd investigate a bit further, and decided to take the plunge.First impressions are that this is a great little radio. It feels well put together, the plastic case and integrated belt clip seem robust, and the digital display is clear and offers different brightness levels.Reception seems generally pretty good, especially when outdoors. It uses the earphone wire as the antenna so the signal strength can be a bit variable when indoors. For example when I first scanned for DAB stations indoors, I could not get any of the national BBC stations. I found that doing a scan of the available stations when outside where the reception is better loaded far more stations and then I saved the ones I wanted as presets (you get 10 preset slots for DAB and another 10 for FM). Once back inside, I could access the stations via the presets, even if the reception was less strong. The built-in battery charges via an included USB cable (USB C at the radio end and USB A at the other end). It's great that it's USB C because I can use my phone charger to charge the radio. I haven't tested the battery life fully yet, but I was listening to an FM station for about 3.5 hours pre-match to post-match at probably 2/3rds max volume and medium backlight brightness and the battery charge indicator is still showing all 3 charge segments, so I can believe the claimed 10-12 hours of battery life.I would have preferred to be able to use replaceable rechargeable batteries (like you can on the Roberts), as I've had bad experiences with decreasing battery life over time in phones, GPS units etc. with built in batteries, but I suppose the built in battery is more convenient, and time will tell if it continues to keep a full charge.I have not tried the supplied earphones so can't really comment on their sound quality, but using my old Apple iPod/iPhone wired earphones, the sound quality from the radio is very good, and goes loud enough that I didn't have to turn the volume up all the way in a football crowd. The buttons on the radio work well and there is a button lock function so you can avoid accidentally changing settings when it's in your pocket. If I was being critical, the 3 buttons on the front (select / change station) do make a noticeably louder click. In most situations this is not an issue, but my wife did complain about the noise when I was using the radio in bed.Overall, this is a great little radio, and for £30 I think it represents excellent value for what it offers. The chance to buy something from a British brand (even though the unit is made in China) was also part of my decision, and there's even a (free) option to extend the warranty to 3 years if you register on Majority's website.

Great little radio
Only reason not 5 stars is the cheap earphones included in the box which provide an inferior tinny sound so I’ve swapped them with some Sony earphones (from a Sony Walkman I had) which work perfectly and sound fantastic with this mini Majority radio. With the Sony earphones this radio is superb whilst out walking etc as it’s so light, easy to operate and where I live picks up DAB stations perfectly. Well pleased it it.

5 Stars as very Good Device at An Excellent Price For What You Get
Rather than carry around a bulky smart phone and use up it's battery and data listening to the radio in it, I have always preferred to have a separate DAB radio if any good.I had a few Pure Move and pocket Roberts Dab radios in the past, but have not had a pocket DAB for a few years.Thought I would give this device a go and I am largely very impressed with it, (a few niggles) but the cost of it makes it very easy to recommend to people looking for something simple, usable and extremely pocketable.I have been using it alot for 4 days now.First the Niggles...1. It uses Micro USB... (i guess the model is reasonably old, not a big deal for this device really, not like you are plugged into it all day like a smart ohone).2. Build...I could be wrong, but on first impressions it does feel a little bit 'delicate', I would say it will probably be okay if it fell out of my pocket to the ground, but as the device is SO light it doesn't feel as robust as radios like the Pure Or Roberts... however, this could also be a bit of an illusion as I am just so not used to having such a small and light device in my hands these days...(so will come back to this for sure in the positives)....3. Reception... Overall I would say it feels at about 95-98% of the quality of reception I would get from my old Pure move...it feels Very Very close, but just has a few more times where it will not quite get there... But it does feel very close to how I remember my experience from those years ago...(and again will mention this in the positives)...4. The supplied earphones aren't the best, but wouldn't expect them to be really, I put in some old Sony's and reception and sound became Very Good.Positives...1. Build... I just think it's weight and size are Excellent. It feels like the good old days off carrying an Apple iPod Touch where you hardly noticed it was there. Buttons are good too....It is only 60 grams, which feels incredibly light when most android phone nowadays are around 190-200 grams, you hardly know you have it in your personal which is great.2. The Clip... Nice and solid feeling clip, very good for runners and long walkers. I really like the options this gives.3. Battery Life... I would say I am getting the claimed 10-12 hours, all good.4. Reception... Yes, not perfect, but the I have never had a DAB radio that was when moving around all day... I would say though that it is Very Good. Waking around here by the south coast beach I don't get any cutouts, (I could swim in the sea with this with waterproof earphones I think, not too far out, but possible)... I was listening to it walking around North London yesterday, and on the Overground it was almost perfect (an occasional cutout)...very good experience I would say.5. VALUE and OVERALL.. i think it's a great device for the price, and it frees you up from your smart phone's battery and data (and weight and size)....for somebody like me who doesn't need to be gawping at what is basically a mini tablet all day, and just want some muscle or Talk, this is a very good to excellent option.
