It works pretty well and for now I only use it in the low settings so far. It helps to straighten out my fingers, because at the same time I need to work at making a fist again, which curves my hand making it difficult to straighten. Machine helps flattening my hand out again. Also bought to help prevent the scare tissue buildup. The way my hand is bent makes it difficult to slide my hand into the machine. People with very large hands may have a hard time getting their hand into the opening. The nice thing is it helps you to move and stretch your hand out. The heating portion doesn't seem to warm the hand like warm/hot water would do.
