Vegan Friendly Doubloon Shaving Brush by The Bluebeards Revenge

Essential part of quality shave

I bought this for my son, so can only give feedback on what he has told me.I bought this to go with the other bluebeards revenge shaving items I have bought for him - the Pre-shave OIl, the Shaving cream ( which is in a tub and needs this brush to use it) and the post shave balm.Not having a beard myself, I did not realise the shaving cream needed a brush, but if you look at the details properly, it does say so and apparently this brush works really well.on a different note, my son did not like the smell of the shaving cream - it is supposedly good for sensitive skin but again I did not realise that it does say "barbershop scent" - so it is perfumed.

Decent starter brush for a good price. My OH did find that the bristles started coming loose after a few months of using it so he upgraded but I guess that's what they make them this price for. I've since purchased another for someone else in my family who recently got into double edged razor shaving!

Can't say I would recommend this brush.I'm a big fan of Blue Beards Revenge and purchased this to save money as I lost my 100% badger hair one.This is very horrible. Bristles are hard and you need to run it under hot water for a while to soften them up.Also as its not badger hair it does not hold water well leading to a not so great lather.At the end of the day as in most cases you get what you pay for. I will now be buying the more expensive pure badger hair version FROM BBR

Haven't used one of these for years but went a bit retro and bought this along with shaving cream and an old traditional safety razor. The extra blades with some of the modern razors just kept causing me irritation and this whole package seems to sort it all out v v happy.

Love the Bluebeards products so wanted to go back to shaving using double edge razor and decided to try their doubloon brush as it seemed a good price.Must say really dissappointed, when using bristles did come out alot and noticed that wood started to crack?On the second attempt again more bristles came and the actual brush head fell off.I have emailed Bluebeards Revenge customer services to see what they have to say but would say avoid this brush as it seems very poor made. Have glued the top back but probably fall appart again.Save yourself money and get an alternative.

Despite reviews stating this shaving brush shed bristles, I thought I’d give it a try. After a few weeks it started to lose bristles - a couple each time I shaved. Today, after a year, I have replaced it with another brand, because there are now lots of bristles coming out of the brush - many of which are plastered amongst the lather on my face as I shave.

Good brush and surprisingly cheap for a Bluebeards product...
