Durable, long-lasting, classic
Love this grinder. It's durable af, love the quality. It's heavy duty, and portable, two of my most favorite things. It can also grind really finely, which is perfect for what I'm doing. Great Value. However, cleaning is not as easy. You need to take it apart by unscrewing the grind plate. Food can also get stuck on the outside grind plate that's connect to the crank shaft, so please be aware that you need to clean these extra well. One flat head screw driver and a strong spray of water can help you get into the nooks and crannies. Happy grinding!!

Not Assembled Correctly
This grinder works great, once you figure out how to take it apart and put it back together correctly. The way it was put together was completely incorrect. Once it is reassembled, you will love the way it grinds. We are using it to grind Alfalfa Timothy pellets for our horses.

Super Hard to Crank
This thing SUCKS. It is impossible to crank. It is also very wiggly and does not stay clamped to the counter/table. The wheat could only grind to a coarse texture and if it was made any tighter for a fine grain, it would not move at all. It fell off the table multiple times. Do not buy this unless you want extremely course grain.

As new, it works as advertised.
Ground some hard field corn from a bag of deer corn to make ash cake that I read about in a journal from the 1830s and am very pleased with it.I ran the corn through a second and third time to get the consistency I wanted.I did not see any nickel or metal plate flakes in the ground corn and even so, nickel is inert and harmless.It is easy to clean using air.The table clamp is secure and it is easy to assemble.The handle is easy to turn considering how hard the corn is. I worked the handle back and forth as needed to continue grinding if it stuck a little.I bought a second one, I like it that much. Hopefully my opinion won't change over time.
