TargusClassic Clamshell Laptop Bag, Briefcase with Padded Notebook Compartment, Elegant Business Bag with Separate Compartments

A classically configured laptop case that is designed for those with up to 15.6-inch screens. The major compartment has an elasticated strap secured with Velcro-type closings to hold the machine securely. There are additional slip pockets within, one full width for papers and four quarter-width ones for cables, accessories and some phones but not iPhones etc and space for some pens or a stylus. There is a large external pocket, almost full width and about 80% height that may be suitable for the machine's power pack and relevant cables, also with Velcro-type fittings to secure the flap and another of similar dimensions that is open but similarly secured on the back that could hold an A4 folder or other materials. It has an adjustable shoulder strap and a standard soft carry handle that is wrapped in PU leather or similar.Several similar cases are used for older laptops of various sizes and from a variety of brands including at least one other from Targus . Some have seen many years' of use and remain essentially as new, a few water marks and coffee stains aside. There is no reason to believe that this will perform any less well.It also happens to be one of the least expensive available in its size.

I decided to purchase the clam shell classic version of the bag because I was just looking for a low cost yet well made bottom range laptop case so I could take my heavy laptop as a personal item for air travel. This bag has not disappointed and has met my expectations well and I'm pleased with my purchase- Material: The bag itself is made of a nylon material which In the past I've found to be durable for these types of item. Whilst not glamorous or fancy or nice to the touch it will certainly be quite hard wearing. I expect it to last me for a long time to come. The stitching overall is solid I haven't noticed any frays or imperfections on my bag. There is padding but it's not as extensive as you would find on higher priced models. It's not so much as a protective case than it is a bag with padding. This may matter to some people but for myself wasn't terribly important- Shoulder Strap: It is very much your standard fare for this type of item you won't find fancy padding or rubberised non slip, it's just a basic strap this solid clips.- Main compartment: This can be unzipped both sides vertically to the bottom of the bag providing good access to insert or remove your laptop. On the opposite side is a document and pen pocket.- Front pocket: It expands slightly allowing you to use it for storing a few peripherals or possibly travel documents.- Top Handle: It's sturdy and not going to let you down even for heavier machines. There is really very little padding so If you're interesting in a 17 inch version of the bag you may want to consider that as heavier loads may not be as comfortable to carry for long periods.Overall I don't think you can beat this bag for it's value for money in the bottom range of laptop bags. It may not be for everyone but for the budget conscious traveller it's a winner in it's class..

The items was described as stated. Plenty of pockets. Inside there was 1 x big pouch which you can store A4 or bigger size paper/card/letters etc but no Velcro to secure. There are further 3 x more mesh pockets which have Velcro to secure anything dropping out. The part where the laptop is store only has one strap and not quite in the centre like I had thought but it still holds the laptop in place. On the outside the front of the bag there is one large pocket which is secured with velcro and there is also another pouch on the back of the back for more storage of paper/card/letters etc...Overall I am very pleased with this bag and the price was excellent. The quality and build is fantastic. It comes with a strap which I have stored in the outside pocket for the time being. The laptop bag is exactly like the one you see in the picture.

Excellent value. Everything fits. Shoulder or hand carry easily.

we dont have a laptop but we have 2 x of the biggerst samsungs tablets you can get & this case was bought for those. We have to travel by bus / train or plane when we go on holiday. In the past 2 tablets & 2 mobiles go into my handbag for the journey, but with the size of the tablets this year was going to be a nightmare trying to get them in my handbag. There is loads of room for both tablets , phones & charges in this Backpack with room to spare. Plus travel documents can be stored in these as well . The quality of the bag is not bad either & for the price i paid for it, its a bargain. I highly recdommend this bag

Value for money

I ordered 3 of these laptop bags for 3 brand new laptops purchased for work.It is suitable for laptops up to 16 inches.They are lightweight but do have decent padding to protect whatever is inside.It also comes with a removable shoulder strap which is comfortable enough.The bag is dual zipped with an eye to allow a small padlock to be attached to secure devices, and a comfortable carry handle.At the front of the bag there is a large Velcro fastened pocket with ample space for chargers and computer mice.Similarly, at the back there is another Velcro sealed pocket for storing papers or cables. You'd struggle to get anything bulky in this pocket.Inside the bag itself;There is the main storage compartment with an attached Velcro strap to fasten the laptop.3 small mesh style pockets.3 pen holder hoops.1 business card holder.1 large pocket for document/papers.Overall, it is functional and sturdy enough for daily business use.
