I have not used this tool set yet but I will do a follow up review when I do. I watched any video on YouTube that I could find on this tool I have done a lot of dry wall mudding and from how smooth the video effectively leaves a smooth coating I know I'm going to like the tool.

These skimming blades worked great. Change the angle of each pass and you can control the thickness of mud or how much is removed. Excellent control with some practice and learning the width and amt of mud to roll on.The blades should be a 5 star rating. I love the blades but the black hairs from the roller sleeve are terribly frustrating. It does roll on a nice bed of mud but the number of black hairs from the roller that must be picked out and the work re done is not fun especially if it is a big job with lots of butts.Ultimately this is a faster process than using a hawk and trowel or a large knife to feather butt joints ( I have not skim coated with these tools yet). The black hairs are very inconveinent but as long as they are not leaving deep streaks in the mud they are easy plucked or sanded out after the mud has dried. This is not a reason not to buy these blades, but at the end of this project, I am looking for thick nap, painting rollers, instead of the Level 5 mud roller.It could be that the next time I use the roller there will be fewer hairs. Don't get me wrong, it is frustrating to pull them out on 90% of your pulls and it thus require several more passes to clean up the joint. I am able to coat the butts almost as fast with a hawk and trowel but the applicating of the mud, especially on ceilings and high on walls is much faster with the roller so in the end it is quicker long run. If there were no black hairs this would be an easy 5 star review.
