EvolveGrain Free Ocean Whitefish and Egg Cat Food

I recently bought a different brand from the grocery store, and even though it said grain-free as well, it had something that led to my cat developing some sort of skin irritation (with breakouts and scabs). I switched back to Evolve and her skin cleared up within a few weeks. This is her (and my) cat food of choice.

I chose Evolve on the advice of my vet due to the quality and variety of nourishment it provides. My kitten loves the flavor.

Baby cat seems to like this food. And I like the good nutritional content. Kibble size could be a tad smaller tho. Little baby teeth have to work on 1/4" pieces. OTW, there are worse products out there.....

I've been feeding Evolve brand dry catfood to my kitty since he was a youngster. He's now 19 1/2 and still goin' strong.

My cat did not like this flavor, but he really enjoyed the Salmon flavor.Also, the vet told me that grain free food was not good for cats… Which is confusing because the food with grains in it seems counterintuitive to a cat‘s anatomy. I lost my cat after 20 years, but in the end, I fed him and salmon. He loves that He needed the oil for his coat, etc.

In my opinion (IMO) the reason for a lot of maybe well deserved bad reviews is in the product mfg with this bag. The foil bags are nice with the zip lock top but!THE DESIGN: Every bag I purchased had tiny holes in both sides of the bag (I sealed sides with packing tape immediately). I thought this was a temporary fluke but its not. This is how the company (Sunshine) can fill the foil bags and push air out after sealing. The bag displayed in description is not the foil bag being sold.The PROBLEM: cat food oxidizes (when air gets to it) in 20 minutes or so and cats don't/won't want to eat it. Its important to keep cat food air tight as possible. Common sense tells me if air can get out, air can get in. This is unacceptable imo depending where this product is stored besides oxidizing concerns, it could possibly absorb odors such as perfumes, detergent & pesticides or whatever possible odors or contaminants stored nearby. I did contact company to verify my findings. They confirmed tiny holes in the sides of the bag are by design not a mistake.INGREDIENT NOTICE: This product ingredients are changing so u will eventually will be getting the new formula: Depending on your cat you may, or may not have to go through the transition phase. This product with the old ingredients will now be Triumph Grain Free Chicken, Pea & Vegetable Cat Food (also Sunshine Mills). I am not saying the new ingredients are better or worse, that is for you to decide & whether you have to transition. The last bag I just purchased from Amazon had BEST USE BY DATE: JUNE 1, 2018 I received it on the 18th & of course the cats will not eat it.. Most times the date is not a big issue but with tiny holes in the bag the food degraded. I don't blame Amazon cause these bags are poorly marked. My kitty really likes this food, after trying several different dry brands, she seems very happy with this.🐈‍⬛❤️

I feed this brand to my dog. This is a good value and my cats seem ok with it. Not super fancy but no bad stuff
