I am SO thrilled with this HIDBEA Frosted Window Privacy Film! I needed a solution for a window that gets a bit too much direct sun and also wanted some extra privacy without losing all the natural light. This film delivered on all fronts, and I’m genuinely impressed by how easy it was to put up.Seriously, the 'non-adhesive static cling' part is no joke. I was a little worried it would be a fiddly nightmare, but it was surprisingly straightforward. Just clean the window, spray it with some soapy water, peel the backing off the film, and smooth it on. I used a squeegee to get the bubbles out, and voilà – instant frosted glass effect! The 23.6 x 157.5-inch roll was more than enough for my project, with some left over.The level of privacy is perfect; it blurs everything out but still lets in a lovely, diffused light, which has made the room feel so much more comfortable. I've also noticed the room doesn't get quite as hot in the afternoon, so the UV blocking and heat control seem to be doing their job too. If you're looking for an affordable, effective, and easy way to upgrade your windows, I can't recommend this stuff enough!

I live in Arizona and come summer we hibernate waiting for the 120° to pass. Also, AZ electric company increases rates constanty (last month 4.3%) so in order to attempt to keep home cool AND manage to pay for HVAC ; I've started to really become dependent on these static tints. I luv that theyre not perm. Because Fall-Winter-Spring is perrfect & windows are open to enjoy the divine weather. I cant say how much light this blocks because I installed on 3 windows at night. As the sunrises & afternoon inferno rolls in I will update this review. I've used Pure Black on Black opaque tint (its on my slider) and it works fantabulous. I found these rolls incredibly easy to install. Easier to install than the mosaic rolls I use in my office. Plus, these haven't fallen off of the window. The black on black and mosaic constantly need re hung. I think maybe the AZ sun dries it out & cooks it off? Not sure but the copper mirror rolls have not fallen from the windows (yet)This roll the copper mirror esq has a much lovelier vibe! Does it work? I will keep you posted manaña.

I have two hot bedrooms with double pain windows. The central ac doesn't even tickle the rooms.I am going to install this to see if there will be a difference in the inside temperature. If not, I'll try the all black film, blackout curtains and install a ceiling fan.I can see why folks left this home, it's unbearable, however they did nothing to solve the problem. Hope it works.The film is thick. If you're not careful and drop it, you will have ugly dents. When cutting, you must use a ruler and press hard on the knife in order to cut. I measure the windows, pass those measurements with a sharpie to the film and cut. The piece is 99% accurate to the window.However, after following instructions on spraying the window, the front and back of the film, it goes on smoothly but after all the excess of water removal, tiny water bubbles remains on the film and I expect better for the price paid. If it keeps the heat out, I can live with it.

I ordered this to put on two front facing windows that recieve a ton of sunlight, and could use some privacy. I LOVE it. It helps keep the room noticeably cooler, and I love being able to look out, while no one being able to look in. Install was simple, and it stays on well. Cutting was a bit of a pain but otherwise, really smooth

I’ve applied a bunch of window film through the years. I do not like this at all.First it’s so thick that having to cut off the little bit of centimeters while on the window was impossible. I tried 3 different box cutters and it wouldn’t cut through it. It worried if I used any more pressure that I’d damage my new windows.Since it’s so thick it doesn’t let as much light shine through as I’d like. It seems more for a shower door than a window application in my opinion . I’ll let it hang for a day for the water to evaporate but will probably have to take it off and trash it.I would never buy this againupdate, after looking for an alternative to this product, I realized that there are not better options out there yet.I will try the raindrop one at a later date to see if I like it better. So I changed my rating from a one to a three.

We are moving into an apartment that backs up to a business and I have been so stressed about people looking in but I didn’t want to lose any light due to having so many plants. After some searching, I opted for this film due to good reviews, and I’m yet to be disappointed.Super easy to put up. My edges don’t look great - the people who installed these windows got glue/caulk everywhere. Impossible to cut around. Alas - it still looks good! Thick but not too thick to work with. It is textured so I think it helps hide imperfections and makes it look higher quality.You’ll definitely need someone to help you peel the backing off and spray it while you’re holding it, went a lot easier that way. You’ll also need something heavy duty to squeegee - a credit card won’t work. I didn’t have an actual squeegee so I used my magnetic door opener for my apartment door lol. It worked!

Needed something to help reflect bright sunshine and heat. This works great. Might be easier with 2 people if very large window but I managed. Cutting to size was my biggest challenge. Wet window and cling to ensure ease of placement. Rooms a litte darker but so much cooler after applying to windows. Also provides some privacy as it is reflective when bright outside.

I used this frosted privacy film on windows facing the road, and it works great for blocking visibility while still letting in plenty of natural light. It was easy to cut and customize to fit my windows. The only downside was that I couldn’t get all the air bubbles out, even after smoothing it carefully. Still, it looks clean overall and does exactly what I needed. A solid choice for an easy, affordable privacy solution!
