I'm generally very skeptical about drop down monitors, but this unit does everything you need, except touch screen. There seems to be a little discrepancy between models regarding features, but this unit does everything it advertises except touch screen. That's an important feature but is relatively easily overcome with the very functional "air" mouse.Installation was relatively simple except for knowing what to do with the door + and door - wires and the instructions didn't help. I wired mine so that the door + is connected to the wire that had immediate 12v as soon as you open the door and the door - to the wire that had 12v as soon as you turn your ignition off, doors closed. This seems to work well.Since I was replacing a factory unit in my 2017 Silverado High Country, I already had a large hole cut out of the headliner, which I needed to cover. Even though the factory unit only had a 9" display, I had to go to a 17" unit, which had a large enough footprint to cover the factory hole. Smaller units, like the 15" monitor, did not cover the hole.I was also concerned about the unit draining my battery since I didn't have acc power to the factory unit. But, the XTRONS unit completely shuts down when the monitor is closed and it draws no power. The unit will automatically turn on if you open the screen, even with the ignition off, but it will automatically shutdown if the ignition isn't turned on after about 5 minutes or so. So, you don't have to worry about draining the battery.The XTRONS is very easy to use. It's just like any other Android device and easily connects wirelessly or wired to my 16" Android head unit that I used to replace my factory radio.The XTRONS is Great because you can use it autonomously or in sync with the main head unit. You can also play the sound through the included unit speakers or wirelessly through the main Android head unit.You will likely need to drill new holes to mount the bracket, but that's pretty simple if you make a template. The wires are definitely long enough to test the unit before final installation. You should definitely do that to make sure the unit works and that it fits properly on your headliner. Rather than using electrical twist nuts, solder, or cramps, I used WAGO connects which made the electrical part of the installation a breeze. You should tape the connectors, however, to make sure the levers don't get accidentally opened when you're stuffing the wires behind the mounting bracket.So far, there is not much negative to say about this unit, but a whole lot of possitive.

Great image quality, has everything you could ask for. HDMI, 2AV inputs, USB for flashdrive with stored movies. Larger than most vehicle would be comfortable with.Not in my Suburban!

I just finished installing the unit in my car today and there are some things people should be aware of when purchasing this:1. This is not an 8k screen, I was not expecting it to be 8k but I think faulty advertising is wrong.2. The mounting screws may barely be long enough depending on your situation. I was alone installing this and it was a miracle that I was finally able to get the first screw into the mounting holes on the bracket. I would highly recommend getting a longer bolt with the same threads to be a guide screw so you can get the rest in easily.3. I looked in the user manual and online but had no luck finding what power the unit needed. the wire itself says B+ where my old unit said 12v so... I dont know what exactly it needs but luckly the power i had running to my old unit still worked fine, results may vary.4. batteries not included for remote. you need 2 AAA. not really a big deal more of an FYIUpdate 1/30/2021We used the screen twice to watch movies and when I went to turn one on today the screen was messed up. Attached a picture of what it looks like now. I'm not sure if it was from bumps in the road or just really poor quality but the screen did not last long.

Great product, my kids love it

When it works it's awesome. If it works , for the price it should do better. The first one I returned would randomly turn black and sometimes it would take 10 15 minutes to boot back up , I pick my kids up maybe 30 minutes from home 2 times a week sometimes three so at most it's used 30-40 minutes no reason it could be getting hot. I'm upset I didn't test this one before I mounted it again

This unit came in great shape. Was a simple install (I consider my tech ability a 4/5) and the final result was exactly what I wanted and expected after a thorough search.I've used it for YouTube soo far. Will be using a USB dongle with video. Connects to my cars factory Bluetooth just fine. I use my WiFi Hotspot on my phone, no issue and also have had it connected to my home wifi.The remote control is super cool. It has a radar mouse so it'll point the arrow on the screen while you hold the remote in mid air and just click on what you want. No, it's not a touch screen.For a Brand name like this it holds quality at a great price and does not sacrifice on screen viewing angle, speed of system nor basic Android control and connectivity.Furthermore, in my vehicle this is the main screen. The factory head unit is also an information display for the car so this is the main media center for video output in the car, allowing me to use the controls of an Android system with bt and wifi without having to change the factory head unit.
