Upon unboxing I found that the supplied cable was broken. No damage to the box, just appears to be poorly manufactured. The only option I had from Amazon was to return for refund, which I didn't want to do as this would require a wait to return and get a replacement. Fortunately, I had some spare connectors and a short length of satellite cable, so I made up my own lead. Took less than 5 minutes to work out how to use the meter and successfully re aligned my dish after the recent storm moved it out of alignment. It's now in my toolbox in case I ever need it again. Good product for the price, just a shame about the poorly manufactured lead.

Bought to help confirm when trees obscuring my dish had been sufficiently pruned to clear path for signal. Unusual use but worked a treat

It actually does not measure the signal strength, and I proved this by connecting it to a receiver with no connection to a dish. The thumb wheel allows you to manipulate the displayed signal strength to 0 - 100% even though there was no signal whatsoever. So it is useless for aligning your dish. Use your receiver’s Settings > Signal menu instead or buy a proper signal finder that shows signal strength and quality like the iBravebox V8 or V9.

I have a smart TV that connects straight to the lnb (not sky). I lost a few channels and gradually lost more so brought a new lnb and this signal reader and it works brilliantly. It took a bit of time finding strongest signal tweaking it with the adjuster on the side and adjusting the dish and line distance and angle. But got all channels and more for some reason ? thanks for fast delivery and this tool.
