Installed fine, and is working great.

One of the elements on our glasstop GE stove had failed. I faced a choice: replace the whole range, or try replacing the element and see if it works.I decided, $45 is worth the risk, so I ordered this, watched one or two YT videos on how to replace a coil on a GE stovetop, and the rest is history.My stove opens differently than a video described; remove two screws in front, then lift it up and prop it with a stick. I took a picture of the original element before removing it, just in case. Then disconnect the wires, unsnap the catches that hold it in place (this was literally the hardest part of the job -- they are very tight), and pop in the new one. PRESTO! It worked perfectly.It's nice having that 6" burner back in operation. And we have saved $700 or so from buying a whole new range. Eventually, we're going to need to, because there's still something glitchy about the controls, which means probably a very expensive repair or replacement of a motherboard inside. But at least we've bought some time.This was a good purchase and I would definitely get it again.

This fits perfectly in GE stove model number JB620DR1WW. I’ve used the burner a few times since we installed it, and it’s working flawlessly.Before you install the burner, I would recommend you have a small pair of pliers handy, to pull the wires out of the old burner, and a person available to hold the stove lid open while you work.Before you pull the wires out of the old burner, make a photo of the old Burner with the wires attached, so you know exactly how to attach the wires to the new burner.I’m really thankful to have found this item as it works perfectly and it’s much cheaper than a new stove!

* Before doing ANYTHING to your stove, verify that there is no power going to it.*On my GE Stove, I had to remove 2 small bolts under the stove top. As the photos show, you must support the stove top securely while you are changing out the burner element. To remove the original element, 1st disconnect all the wires connected to it, then take a flat blade screwdriver to gently slide off the metal clamps that hold the element to the stove top. There are 4 connectors that attach to the original element. The new element has an upgraded, slightly different connection set up, but no worries, as the photos show, 3 of the 4 connectors go into the same spots on the new element, except for the last one, which connects slightly differently. After that, gently lower the stove top, and before securing it with the bolts, turn on the Power to the stove and test the new element. If all is good, secure it with the bolts and you are done!My GE stove is 15 years old, I hope this new element last as long as the original.

Used for 2 weeks and stopped working

Despite being matched by model number, size and location by service...,Item did not perform correctly..Coil stayed on high level regardless of switch dial setting...Purchased new infinite switch as well, and still no change..

Took out the old one. Put in the new one. Took 10 mins and worked like a charm. Absolutely no complaints.
