Schick Hydro 5 Disposable Razors for Men with Flip Beard Trimmer, 9 Count (Pack of 1)

The original Hydro 5 has always been one of my favorites - smoother than Gillette and affordable too. But when I got these recently, I was dismayed that Amazon had sent the “Sensitive” model instead. I started a return and asked them to send them again and guess what? Another shipment of “Sensitive.” On a hunch I looked at the bar codes and the “Sensitive” razors have the exact same UPC as the original. So I opened the package and the razors are literally identical as you can see in the photo and very different from the cartridge “Sensitive” model. I went to Schick’s website and confirmed that the “sensitive” disposable looks just like the original. I have no idea why Schick changed the name of these, but they are definitely the original “Ultimate Comfort” model.

I highly recommend this product. I have been using this razor for a good part of the last twenty years. The razor lasts for months at a time giving a very close shave every time This product is reasonably priced at a great value!

Good build quality on the handle, blade quality is consistently great, great shaves, one razor lasts me two to three months shaving 3x per week. Toward the end of the blade life the shaves take a little more effort and a couple more minutes than when the blades are newer, but these work great overall.Five blade razors are by far my favorite. They make shaving take much less effort than the single-edge blades and even the three-blade models. When I first tried a Gillette Mach 3 back when it first came out, I thought it was the best razor possible, but these came later and are far better.Don't let anyone sell you on the old single blades, safety razors, or whatever. Those blades work good for maybe 3-6 shaves and start to get noticeably dull, scratchy, and cutty. These five-blade Schicks last me 25-30 shaves before I notice it taking more effort to get a good shave and change them out for a new one. If you go gently, like sweeping a floor with a broom, gentle is better and more efficient, same here, these razors shave as well as any you can get.Really good product, and the lube strip helps (it's almost too gooey when new), but for the money, all the shaving clubs, old-time single edges, razors that use three old-time single-edges, and blah blah blah, all that considered, these razors are as good as you can do for a good, blood-free shave for a good price. Just use good shave cream, nice warm water, go easy, and your face will be baby-butt smooth. The ladies like that.

Good product, no issues

The razor has a section that flips up allowing for close shaving, especially around the nose area. Buying in bulk makes it a reasonable price compared to other razors.

Same blade cartridge as used in the non-disposable version but with a plastic handle. Lighter in weight than the non-disposeable version but works the same.
