Even if you already own a grease gun, you should own this
I've had a walmart grease gun since my 20s and I've always hated it. Hard to attach but even harder to get off - often snapping a zerk in the process and then being forced down the getting to the parts store in someone else's rig b/c I can't drive mine and then trying to find some socket to pull the old zerk off. Ugh, so dumb.I'd always looked at these and thought - man, that's too expensive. But, as I approach my golden years I figured why not - I can always send it back if it's a gimmick. It's not a gimmick. This gun grabs the zerk (even at a slightly off-angle), rights itself and when you need to take it off it just pops off with a squeeze. It's everything I'd hoped, no kidding.Reward these guys for making a better mouse trap. Don't buy regular grease guns, don't buy Amazon junk. I bet I spent $10 over the years in zerk fittings and then all the hassle of replacing them? No thanks man. PS - if anyone wants a janked old 'regular' grease gun - I got you ;)

Excellent Design That Flopped
Review Edit: Ok, I screwed up. My original review told of the difficulty I had in priming this grease gun. Since then, I have found that I was priming incorrectly. I was leaving the tube partially opened, then using the bleeder and working against myself. Went out today to grease my tractor and found the partially opened tube and kicked my own butt. Tightened the tube, pumped, used the air bleeder, pumped and greased my tractor. LockNLube, I apologize for my error.I had high hopes when I purchased the LockNLube HD Pistol Grip Grease Gun. I have bought their products before with great satisfaction. I loaded up a fresh cartridge and spent the next 45 minutes priming and trying to get it to pump grease. I even pulled out a second grease gun (different brand but with the LockNLube hose) and swapped parts back and forth and the problem stayed with the new LockNLube grease gun. Eventually, I got it working but I'll be durned if I'm going to go thru that hassle again. I have a feeling it is the air bleeder that is causing the problem but I cannot prove my assumption. Both my grease guns are working now but I've lost confidence in LockNLube grease gun. I like the zert attachment for storing ... excellent idea. The LockNLube hose is superb. But I'm going to purchase another brand grease gun and put the LockNLube hose on it. The three stars are for the hose and storage zert, no stars for the grease gun.

Works great with less mess
I don’t know why I waited so long to get one of these. Pistol grip is great and the lock and load fitting worked really well. I was surprised I was able to get it into some small spaces and do it with not a lot of mess or leaking. Priming the gun was easy once I read the instructions. Wish I would’ve had one of these years ago, and I probably would have kept up on the maintenance of my Jeep and tractor better.

Worth the extra $$
Excellent grease gun. A little bit more expensive, but worth it. I bought a cheap Chinesium unit for about half what I paid for this, and it broke during the very first use. I got this one afterwards, and so far it’s been great. It’s true what they say…Buy once, cry once. Get this if you want it to actually do the job you need it for.

Good Bet!
Item works great for what you pay for it! Good quality and affordable. Would highly recommend - especially for someone just getting into working on their own auto/trucks!!

It works like it's supposed to.
It might seem expensive for a grease gun, but it works like it's supposed to, without the mess a lot of others make, and without a fight, it's easily the best I've used, and I've used several over the years, at the ranch, at home, and at work, and I'm buying another one,

Just worked...
High quality product at every step. It loaded and primed with no fuss, and I didn't even need to use the release valve. It just worked. Much higher quality than the 'bottom of the harbor' brand. The best part is the quick release - squeeze a lever and it pops off without any drama whatsoever. I've retrofitted all of my other guns with the nozzle already.
