E-MODS GAMING 4X Replacement Analogue Thumbsticks for Xbox One/ PS4 Controllers (Black)

I bought these because I recently purchased a used XB1 controller on Amazon from a third party seller, which was advertised as in "good" condition, yet received it to find that the right analog stick would stick to the right. That seller refunded the purchase price (shipping had been free) but told me to keep or discard the controller. Being me I decided I'd take it apart to identify the problem, and found that the edge of the plastic on my analog stick had an imperfection, a raised bump of plastic that was catching on the casing and causing the stick to hang when pushed all the way in a certain direction.Of course, I could just cut this off (and I did), but I decided to drop a few bucks on this pack of replacements just in case I needed them. At this point I basically got the controller for free, so figured, why not? Then, since I had these sticks, I decided to upgrade one of my Dualshock 3 controllers, because I've always hated the convex "bubble" shaped thumbpads on those controllers. I will tell you that it worked like a charm, and the only problem I had in the entire process was related to the fact that I overlooked the last screw in my DS3 and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't come apart--but that was my fault, and has to do with the fact that I was talking on the phone to someone about something unrelated while I was completing the mod. As others have pointed out, these sticks will leave a bit of a gap when pushed to the side if installed in a DS3 or DS4 controller, but that is by design. If the bases were wide enough for a DS3, they wouldn't fit in an Xbox One, which is what they're actually meant for.As for the quality of these sticks, they are nearly perfect. I will point out that the seams on the sides of the sticks are a bit more pronounced than the ones on my original Xbox One controller (the mint controller I got with my system), but that doesn't really bother me. If you are troubled by this, I expect the issue could be remedied quickly with a Dremel or similar tool.

Various reviews have claimed of improper/fake thumb-sticks being received, but the ones I received from E-MODS Gaming seem legitimate. They do not appear cheap and did exactly what I needed them to do (PS4 thumb-stick replacement).The thumb-sticks are as described and they seem as good a quality as an Xbox One Controllers. I put these on my PS4 Dualshock controllers and they fit perfectly. When initially putting them on, I thought they were the wrong size, but you just have to spin them slightly (there are grooves that fit the thumb-sticks). Also if you're looking at replacing these in your Dualshock 4, be aware that they are slightly taller. I don't mind it, but this may bother some people. These are a nice trade off from the PS4 thumb-sticks which rubber thumb-sticks wore away.

I needed a left thumb stick on my Xbox One controller to replace the left thumb stick that got nicked up some how. I tried replacing the rubber ring by purchasing a set of replacement thumb stick covers. The covers were a joke. The covers didn’t fit and kept falling off while playing. I wrote to the seller and their solution was to not press on the stick so hard. Needless to say I returned the covers and purchased this set of replaceable thumb sticks. These sticks were easy to put in (online video), fit perfectly and I can’t tell the difference from the original. I highly recommend these thumb stick replacements for an Xbox One controller.

First of all, I read many of the reviews about these sticks and seemed to be half good and half bad. Well, my findings are that it works perfect for the PS4 controller. I don't have any dead zones, I haven't noticed any rubbing, and there isn't any give or "play" in the sticks. They fit snug and do their purpose.I decided to use the xbox one sticks on my ps4 controller for a couple reasons. The main one is that my dog chewed the old sticks, like they were missing from the controller. The other is that the ps4 thumbsticks got smoothed out and started to peel away, the rubber isn't good. The xbox one sticks are a solid piece of plastic with a concave top and coarse side which works better for me.I will switch out the other sticks in my other ps4 controller.

These are not the official microsoft replacements, however that doe's not make them bad. They are a slightly different material then the original which I actually quite liked except they wear down a lot faster. When replacing them (you'll need a special t-8 security screw driver as well) they fit on even tighter than the Microsoft ones which is a really good thing; it means absolutely no joystick wiggle or give. I recommend these to anyone, it would be 5 stars easy as I like a lot because if the extra grip from the slightly softer rubber, but they wear down just slightly too much too fast and are slightly less concave.

(2022) UPDATE: These thumb sticks have changed since I originally purchased them in 2014. I bought another set last week to install into my PS5 Dualsense controller. There were a couple of issues. 1) These “new” thumb sticks have a very hard, slippery rubber thumb pad compared to the “old” version. The “old” version had very soft rubber thumb pads which worked great. 2) The design of the dualsense requires these thumb sticks to be modified slightly to fit the controller. They sit too tall inside the controller making contact with the thumb stick bezel. I simply sanded down where the controller post slides into the thumb stick allowing them to sit lower on the post and they now function as intended. Unfortunately I will likely put the original thumb sticks back into my dualsense controller because my thumb constantly slips off these “new” thumb sticks. (2014) I bought these to replace my Dualshock 4 thumb sticks as the rubber pads on the DS4 seem to disintegrate quite quickly. They fit the DS4 perfectly! They sit a little taller than the stock DS4 sticks, thumb pads are slightly smaller in diameter, are concave on top and provide superior grip compared to the stock DS4 sticks. Bought the 4 pack to have back ups on hand.
