Cut Through Basketball Backboard Pole
Very satisfied with this angle grinder. Our 30 year old basketball pole and backboard, that had been set in a cement base, needed to be taken down. Did not want to dig up base; cutting the pole at ground level was my choice and this grinder along with metal cutting discs did the trick. Will also be using it to remove rust on bulkhead to cellar, and metal cellar window frames prior to repainting.

Great customer satisfaction
This grinder is a piece of junk. quits cutting through simple aluminum. 1st use. shaft quits turning. Update: The company contacted me and offered a full refund. I am impressed by their product assurance. I will try other AVID products because of this great customer service. I feel certain that I just got one of thousands that was a fluke and maybe damaged in shipping, and, therefore, I am raising my stars to 4. The grinder had an excellent feel and design. I really wished it had not had an issue.

Careful with power switch.
Grinder works as advertised and I would purchase again at this price level. HOWEVER THE POWER SWITCH HAS NO SAFETY TO DEPRESS TO PREVENT ACCIDENTALLY TURNING IT ON. JUST A SLIDE SWITCH EASILY ACTIVATED. Out of the box when I plugged it in it fired off. Fortunately it was on a concrete floor so no harm. No on/off markings.
