qt Modern Masters MCS901 Clear MasterClear Supreme Protective Clear Coat, Matte

Excellent product, that goes on silky smooth. White in the can, but crystal clear when applied. I both sprayed, with an airless Graco sprayer, unthinned, and I used with a brush. Applies great in either case. The product (matte) does have a slight sheen to it, but is not glossy. I used to clear-coat a garage door that I had painted to look like wood. The photo is the finished garage doors, clear-coated to give UV protection.

I use this acrylic finish to top off my baskets. I decoupage napkins to old baskets which makes them beautiful! A final coat of glue topped with the Modern Masters is the perfect shine and finish. And it adds strength to the basket.

I used this first time on my floor but then was advised that it isn't made for floors so I'm keeping what I have left for redoing furniture. It does apply well-easy to use.

So far so good. I hung these up beginning of December in New Orleans sun and colors have not faded yet.I cut out left over roofing metal panel in lizard/frog shape then painted using Chroma mural paints and Master clear coat. I had to redo these as the original painting using folk art outdoor acrylic paint and Krylon uv resistant polyurethane spray, faded quickly with some loss of paint.I used 3 coats and swear by modern masters brand. The door is also painted using their Front Door paint series and has not faded one bit in 3 years,

I'm sorry but this has a satin finish, not Matte. It's made my sculpture look off and I'm quite angry.

This is a great product! I've used this varnish many times and I am always happy with the results. It's very strong and durable.

If you want your surface protected than this is the top coat you need.
