This is the only salt tester I use and I have tried other salt testers only to be disappointed. I highly recommend.

Purchased a Glx by hayward for testing salt water pool piece of junk would never calibrate the same twice returned.Did a little more looking and researching and purchased this one.First review,on it i think. Easier to calibrate consistent readings also uses temp settings of water for more accuracy i think. It doesn't say on description but came with calibration fluid. I had some calibration fluid of my own and it matches up the same.Less money than Glx more features and works better. Yes this is a nice one.

The customer service with the company was great. We had an issue with shipping and seller was on point sending emails and providing updates. The part itself seems to work fine. We used the tester to calibrate our salt generator on our pool. The strips were not providing an accurate reading which was causing more salt to be used.

Tool measures temp, salt and TDS but make sure you read the manual on how to switch between modes and calibrate. Came with 3000ppm salt as baseline and when I calibrated it, first read 3010 (close enough) then after an hour I redid calibration and same salt baseline came up 2810 (no close enough).Since there is only three buttons, functions like changing modes and storing reading in memory requires you to hold buttons for various seconds.

Very happy with this brand after trying 2 others. Comes with a small calibration bottle to get you started RIGHT. Lanyard doesnt fit through the hole easily, wish they would address that. Other then that its gonne be my go tool for my salt pools. - Pool Tech

While the best I have seen ( I have ordered many over the years). It wont last long you better off taking the money and buy 5 lesser expensive units for the same price and getting more coverage time. Not worth the money

I have had this tester for a year, and I have no confidence in its accuracy for testing salinity level in my salt pool. I have followed the directions for calibration, watched the videos, etc. Each time I test I get a significantly different reading - always too high. Also, sometimes the measure does not stabilize, it will continue to drift upward. Greatly disappointed in this instrument given its price.

Quick and simple way to know when you need to load salt into your salt pool. Checking solids for those heavy swimmers is easy also.
