I have not a bad word to say against the amazing Bushnell HD. Wit their new Special Forces product manager in full force the line is coming along nicely. The Bushnell HDMR scope is a great example of that. The Legend Monocular is no slouch either. Caught somewhere between a spotting scope and a monocular its a niche items but very useful. The fact it runs a real mil reticle makes it worth its asking price and more. At this price point you will not find a similar scope/monocular that also has a good mil reticle in it. Who needs a mil reticle you ask? It really depends. Anyone doing a form of distance shooting or hunting is well served with one. Anyone doing precision shooting pretty much requires one. At the price Bushnell is charging everyone from the nature watcher and bird watcher to the tactical shooting to the real life operator is well served bu one.The Legend is very light considering its power. Easy to run on a duty belt and very small. Its glass is great and its reticle is very accurate. I discovered that 1 mil did equal to 1 mil. You may laugh but that certainly isn't always the case, even with the most expensive pieces of glass.The glass itself is very good and clear, again better than I'd expect for the price. Bushnell is certainly pushing to make its place in the tactical/long distance shooting community and I certainly welcome them. Between this scoping scope and their amazing HDMR rifle scope they are making big waves in the shooting/hunting crowd and I'm glad to see it.The 10x42 might not be enough for some applications. I can clearly range targets out to about 800 yards without issue. I can also clearly see targets at the 600 yard line when shooting military National Match competitions. That is really something for an optic that will fit on a belt. Then considering the price I paid, below $200, there is really nothing bad I can say about this piece of equipment. Were I complain about anything it would be the lack of eye relief on this optic, but that seems standard across the board. For the price, size and use this thing is impossible to beat. It will be tagging along with me for all my future deployments and rifle matches.

I do back country stuff for hunting in enforcement and I wanted an optic that the best way to describe is a mini spotting scope and this fitted that need. I wanted my mini to have a reticle in it in order to call shots and this is has a superb reticle. I did my research this, and spoke to some friends and colleagues, one of which is a retired master sergeant army, sniper instructor who is teaching long range shooting and hunting in the private sector now, and he told me that the reticle in this optic was superb, and he was not lying. The glass may not be of the quality of some higher end optics but it for sure is something to write home about.

I really am impressed with the clarity of this glass! Better than my $3500 Steiner M5xi! What the heck? The reticle is pefect too. How they made this so affordable, I do not know. But it is a welcome part of my kit going to Mammoth Sniper Challenge in March 2024!

Compared to a Vortex Solo, this item is significantly larger with slightly crisper glass and a larger field of view. I carry the Vortex with me more often because it's handier though. I really wish the reticle was in MOA so it would match my other optics. This is a quality piece of equipment, but I'm not sure the extra size and cost would be too much to buy it again over a Vortex Solo. An MOA reticule would make it a definite buy again

Highly recommend! If you need an inexpensive MRAD ‘spotting scope', this is a most excellent choice. More powerful spotting scopes with a reticle are $hundreds more. I considered the also highly rated Vortex 8x36 MRAD monocular, but glad I chose this one. I have not used the Vortex, but the reticle on the Bushnell seems easier for use on normal sized objects. The offset of the Vortex reticle would be better for a cleaner FOV, but the Bushnell reticle is centered like a scope. The Bushnell is beautifully clear and crisp, so only 10x magnification works very well. If you have no need of an MRAD reticle, I highly recommend you get the model without a reticle, as it will be a distraction for viewing. I was surprised at the usefulness of the dark tan color, it is much more appropriate camo for wooded areas than I would have thought. While using the tripod mount, the Picatinny rail became quite loose. Easily tightened, and if it happens again - I will secure with a weak thread locker. I am very pleased with this monocular, as a substitute for an otherwise very expensive MRAD spotting scope.

I own this optic and Vortex Optics Recce Pro HD. I am impressed by this optic in regards to quality and value. It feels great, glass clarity and magnification is what you would expect for this price point. I like the larger 10x42-mm lens and field of view in this optic. If you need a mil-based monocular and you can't afford high end glass, this is all you really need. What I really like, is the one handed focus knob on the top, very ergonomic and useful.
