Skim the Scum
Ok, I’m in love with Martha Stewart! There I said it. I’m just kidding but I do have a deep respect for her knowledge and skills.She used these strainers in an episode of her cooking school shows that focused on making stock. Chicken, beef, and vegetable. When she was making the chicken stock, at one point she pulled out a utensil like this and said “ now you want to skim off the…scum”. I laughed because just hearing her say a word like scum somehow endeared her to me because she’s so formal. Anyway, I bought these for that very purpose and they do exactly what I expected and I’m sure they’ll work great for other straining needs. I’d recommend!
