This item does NOT charge your phone, neither will it display the current song playing, nor will it connect your phone to the "telephone" section of your car. But they've stated those things in their description and you should know EXACTLY what you're getting. Besides that, the cable is thick, but not too thick and it fits nice and snug in my glove compartment. It is even thin enough and protected enough that I can close my glovebox on the cable and it still plays music perfectly. The quality is great and there is just about no static. People usually say that you MUST have Apple Music for it to work, but I've found that with this cable, just about any sound coming from your phone goes through without having it to set up your Apple Music Library. If it charged, this cable would be perfect! Of course, it doesn't display your current track, but for $23, what can you expect?

Does not charge nor play music from Iphone 8S

I bought this as a gift for my wife to use in her new car. She was happy to receive it but it began cutting in and out after 2-3 days. Now it is unusable. When I reached out to seller, I was passed any return/refund policy. That’s what I get for buying the gift ahead of time. Shop elsewhere!

Worked for 2 days before the connector/adaptor broke off. Terrible quality

I have an iphone XS and have always had a lifeproof case on my phone to protect it. The part of the adapter that is suppose to plug into my phone is too big and will not fit into the opening of my lifeproof case.

I thought the product build quality was at the minimum.

A quick fix to a silly problem. The cord does what it's supposed to, connects my iPhone vis lightning for music and media play. No power or charging and no info shared with the system but good sound and easy to use.

Worked as stated
