amika curl corps defining cream, 200ml

I have curly, wavy hair. However, it’s only been over the last few years that I’ve gone with it (at least since I was a toddler!) I had ReCurl recommended by a stylist; it was so heavy that it actually straightened my curls. For the last several months I’ve put nothing on my hair. The curls were there but they went where they wanted, mostly in my face. I researched a better solution & repeatedly found this one at the top of folks’ lists. Today I trimmed & shaped my hair (after getting excellent, precise advice from Claude AI on how to cut it…just sayin’). It was the first time I used the product. It is amazing! It is very lightweight but does what it advertises: Great curls with great styling ability. Plus, the scent is terrific—light but discernible. When I sit on my screened porch, the ceiling fan wafts it all around me. I love this stuff, & will definitely buy it again.

Definitely found the holy grail for my curly dry/frizzy hair. This product makes make curls more define which is something I always look for, it also adds shine to the hair but not overly greasy. Will most definitely buy again once I run out.

Absolutely LOVE this product for my curls. It's a thick product but you don't need a lot of it. It makes my curls look amazing all day long and holds them all day. This gives your hair a good shine and smells amazing!! I definitely recommend this product for all my curly haired girlies!!! I hope this helps!

I have fine curly short hair and I love this product. I’ve bought it twice.

I have fine, thin, permed hair, so this was a little too thick straight out of the bottle. I mixed in some water and it was perfect. I tested it alongside OUAI and JVN curl creams with the same parameters: wet hair, no other products, air dry. While the others came close, this one left my curls shinier and more well defined. It also had better second day results. I got my hair wet again, no wash, and styled without adding any product and it was nearly as good as the first day, even a little softer and bouncier. I also love the scent and the bottle design.

I have weird hair to say the least. It’s very wavy with the occasional big curl. For the first 20 years of my life I brushed my hair which made it extremely frizzy and poofy which was hard to manage. So I straightened my hair everyday for like 10 years. Eventually I figured out that I needed to stop brushing my hair and just use a big comb and my fingers to run through it. That alone made my hair so much better , I never get tangles or knots or matting anymore. Then I met my best friend. She gave me a sample size of amika curl corps and it changed everything. My hair no longer is frizzy, I don’t brush it I just use a huge comb right out of the shower and then add my curl corps and let it air dry. I get compliments on my hair almost daily. Truly life changing. I went from spending an hour or more in my hair every day to less than 2 minutes and I look so much better with my natural hair.As for this bottle , as you can see the one on the left I bought December 2019 and I’m just now having to repurchase (to be ahead of the empty bottle) in late 2023. I’m not out yet but I don’t want to ever be out. lol mind you it lasted 4 years and that included a ton of it leaking out on an airplane and a couple of times I dropped it. If I hadn’t I bet it would have lasted even another year or 6 months. So little goes such a long way. I hope they didn’t change anything in the last 4 years. If they did, I’ll know and I’ll edit this review.

I want to love it. But I'm not a fan of how hard it makes my hair! Feels like I took glue to my hair to hold the curls... Worked the first two times making my hair curly. Just tried for a third time and it didn't take at all. Now I have a head full of product that feels gross and crunchy and no curls
