Light and easy
I like that the tiller is light and folds up to save on storage. In the past, my husband has used heavier gas tillers to prep our garden and they always end up being a hassle. He also hates the smell of exhaust. So when this tiller became available, I just knew we had to try it.Out of the box, the tiller, did not require much assembly and I worked better than expected. We got beautiful rows to plant our fruits and veggies. The tiller kicked up some dirt clots and small rocks so I would recommend using a face shield. We have to be mindful of the cord while using it, but it is a good trade off to keep our lungs clean. My reviews are based on my experiences with the product, not on my status as a Viner. I look at my rating as if I were buying these products with my own money. Below is a shortened breakdown of my final star rating.• Please Note: I might give a product a higher score if I can justify why.1 Star - Absolutely horrible quality / toxic ingredients / does not work / could cause harm / absolutely do not buy2 Stars - Poor quality / works but does not work well / annoying traits or missing component(s) that affect the product's performance / not worth the cost3 Stars - Okay quality / might work well in other situations just not mine / this is a decide for yourself type product / you can do better price wise4 Stars - Good quality / works well / annoying traits or missing a components that do not affect the product's performance / averaged market price for what you get5 Stars - Over the top quality / works better than expected / it is worth the cost

Well-built with impressive runtime
The media could not be loaded. This cordless tiller from the Danero brand assembled easily. It contained easy-to-read instructions and ample safety warnings as everyone needs to be aware when operating power machinery.I have been using an AC powered tiller/dethatcher and was curious how this one would compare and was pleasantly surprised. It is every bit as powerful as the AC tiller with the added convenience of being cord-free.The biggest surprise is the run time. I used two different off-brand DeWalt compatible "6 amp" batteries which have approximately 5 amps of actual capacity. I tilled an entire long garden row and three other areas of my back yard and was surprised that the batteries showed over 75% charged when through. The brushless motor certainly helps achieve that. The gear box and power transfer must also be well-designed for low friction as well. The label says it produces 92db of sound, but it did not sound that loud at all especially outdoors. The unit is well-built and light enough to make using it a breeze. Decades ago I used a medium-sized gas powered tiller and remember how hard it was to use – and I was fit back then. Now this cordless Danero tiller really makes yard work easy again. The brushless motor runs off 10-cell lithium Ion batteries at 36 – 40V DC by connecting two 5-cell batteries in series. The two batteries must be DeWalt 20V or compatible. For best results the batteries should be matched (matched amperage and matched vendor). There is a connector plug between the batteries that is inserted to complete the series connection. This connector plug is also a kill switch that you remove whenever cleaning vines or roots from the tines.I used a long handle (24-inch) pruning sheers to cut roots wrapped around the tines. Then using a second pair of long handle needle nose pliers you can remove roots without ever getting your hands near the tines. This Danero brand tiller is a well-made and thought-out garden tool that will make yard work a whole lot easier.

Handy tool.
I've been using a small corded tiller and this works every bit as well. It allows me to work in the garden without being tied to a cord as well as being able to work further away from the outlets. Power is adequate for my needs, though it is by no means something you would use to till up new ground that is rock hard. Once a garden is established though this will do the trick your plants to thrive.
