Always Have a Propeller Wrench Handy The Prop Master is the original molded propeller wrench. This 1 1/16" six point socket style prop wrench is made of high tensile strength, indestructible nylon. It is totally resistant to fuel, sun, salt water, and other chemicals. The Prop Master is less expensive than metal wrenches which rattle and can cause damage to your boat. However, it has plenty of brawn to get the job done. The Prop Master will tighten all 1 1/16" propeller nuts without slipping or stripping. (OMC - over 40 HP, Mercury - over 50 HP) High visibility color makes it easy to locate in dark boat compartments. The Prop Master also has a 9/16" garboard drain plug socket on the reverse side. Total garbage! This thing is a piece of junk
Total garbage! This thing is a piece of junk, don't waste your money. I put the wrench on the nut & tried to turn it & it stripped immediately. Didnt even get to turn the nut before it stripped. Ended up buying a ratchet

Don’t waste your money
What a piece of junk. But really, who buys plastic wrenches? I mean this is the only one sold on the market and to remove a propeller? Not sure what my husband was thinking but one attempt to turn it over the nut and IT STRIPPED. Not multiple attempts, one turn! Thank goodness we had a friend right there with a steel prop wrench to save the day or we would’ve been the schmucks going to the marina to finish the job right. Don’t waste your money. Returning this today!

Only used it once
If I could give zero stars I would. This wrench stinks! I used once to tighten the nut on my prop and the wrench stripped out before I got it tight. Now I’ve got to go buy a real one to do the job.

It did work.
I was surprised when it fit our 08' yamaha 115...not surprised when the old nut didn't come right off and surprised again when the wrench didn't snap apart when i gave it all the torque needed to pop the fastener loose. In the end it worked and that's all that matters but i hates all the flex in the handle...Not confidence inspiring but did do the job.

Waste of money
I get it, plastic wrench floats if you drop it in the water. But the fact that it wouldn't turn the nut without the plastic stripping away and rounding made this absolutely useless. Didn't loosen the nut at all! Wrench should have a reinforced metal sleeve inside to fit over the nut to keep the plastic from rounding. Didn't use it until a few days after the 30 day return window closed. Would love a refund! Amazon, are you listening?

Pass on it
This did not work for me. This just jumps over the nut when trying to remove my prop. I'd pass on this.

Not fit for purpose
Sorry - don't waste your money, this tool is not fit for purpose. I tried to use on my prop and the material isn't strong enough and kept slipping and eventually rounded the edges in the tool. I would recommend purchasing a metal socket that fits from a local hardware store.

Great idea but wrong
It's ok and I never actually got to use it for changing a prop as the plastic was too soft to even work to remove my drain plug--which is a feature of this product. Great idea but wrong material

doesn't rust in boat compartment and does a good job - could use a changeable insert
