GlobalG-2 Cook’s Knife with 20cm Blade, CROMOVA 18 Stainless Steel

Once sharpened properly, it really makes for effortless slicing, cutting and dicing. So far have used it a few times and seems to stay sharp for good period of use. Quite light and the design of the handle might not be to everyone's liking as it is all metal and fairly slim. It suits me fine and find it easy to clean. Would not go back to using "non-premium" knives.Only downside is that the price in the UK is so much higher than in the USA (even on Amazon itself) and the difference is not fully accounted for by tax and duty. I was lucky to pick one up at an attractive spot price from an Amazon marketplace seller.

Working in a kitchen myself (stage), this is a fantastic knife. Using my 8000 grit stones it takes and keeps an edge - with either a gentle stropping or honing once every two days, it lasts fantastically. Clean, crisp cuts with little cell damage - and light enough that it won't tire you out nor require too much force behind it. Perfect balance, for me, at least. No droppages yet - though the welded construction makes me slightly concerned. Still, not enough to stop it being a fantastic knife!

Oh ...my husband is so please with this knife. Only using Global G2 knife ,even if I want chop something with old knife He coming and chopping, cutting with this one . Recommend

A kitchen knife is one of those things that you either get or you don't. Loads of us have loads of cheap, blunt knives around the kitchen. Good knives are expensive - are they worth it?Yes. This global knife is lovely to use. It's well balanced and very comfortable in the hand. Some people like a heavier knife, but I love the lightness of these. It's very sharp indeed, and will keep its edge if you look after it properly. And yes, it's £130, but it will last forever (again, if you look after it properly).So when you buy the knife buy a decent sharpener too. I ruined my last one of these with a cheap sharpener - I was really annoyed with myself for doing it. But if you buy the right sharpener, you only need to use it regularly to keep the blade really lovely and sharp.

Good value for money, the knife passed the card test, razor-sharp can be shaved.

Life-changing knife! I bought a famous German brand two years ago and got frustrated from the knife because it wasn't sharp enough right from the start. This one is amazing! It's extremely sharp and keeps its sharpness for a long period of time. We have sharpened it just once although we have it for several months now.
