Not a bad design, they are a little stiff out of the box but still fun.

This gearbox key chain is alright but definitely not worth 6$.It arrives in a small silver zip lock type bag with only the key chain inside.The key chain is basically very cheaply made with the outer case being made of thicker aluminum but the top plate with the gears being thinner and not the best. The mechanism that is the shifter is literally just a metal pole with a captured spring on it and it isn't connected at all to the bottom. So the whole thing is able to move around inside of the unit and that leads to uneven movement and shifting. A lot of the time the whole thing gets stuck in one spot until you pull the pole up and recenter it inside of the casing.Overall, it looks like they pretty much show in the listing pictures but it doesn't function well and is pretty cheaply made. I wouldn't think its worth half of what they are asking.

This is a cute and fun keychain. It's a great gift for car lovers and fidgeters. The only con I would mention is that it squeaks every time you "shift". Mildly annoying, but not a dealbreaker for me; just be mindful if you are in a quiet setting. It's a good cheap fun little gift for yourself or somebody who likes this kind of thing. Would recommend at this price point
