Typically I don’t leave product reviews. However, this thing surpassed my expectations. I originally bought it from a Youtube recommendation, since i will quit writing in a journal if I feel it lacks somehow, and that was very wasteful of paper. Thing thing is amazing if you’re like me! You can add new inserts, it’s very easy to carry around and fit in a bag, and it’s packaged beautifully! It felt like I ordered it off of etsy and it was definitely packaged with care. It comes with a very smooth pen (in which i wasn’t planning on actually liking), 3 inserts, and the quality of the leather itself is phenomenal. If you’re on the fence (like I previously was), please just BUY IT.

A beautiful handmade bit of leather and elastic with thoughtful design despite its minimalist appearance.Ok so I’m not sure how clear this will be but I’m going to give it a shot and explain my setup, to maybe give others a few ideas. Using a couple of different methods I was able to fit the 5 including refills, 2 TRAVELER’S COMPANY (herein referred to as TN) refills, and 1 Yamamoto Ro-Biki Notebook. That’s 8 different things. (some are thinner or smaller though)•I nested a TN 031 (sticker release paper) inside the craft folder and used 1 band for both•I kept the Ro-Biki by itself since it’s a bit more slim, using 1 band•I nested a TN 032 (accordion fold paper) inside the plastic zipper insert, using 1 band to secure both• for the last available band I used the “connecting three refills” method by gentlemanstationer. Using the included extra band i connected 2 of the inserts together, then nested the 3rd insert between them using 1 band.I reckon I could duplicate the 3in1 method with all 4 bands to give me a total of 12 inserts if I was feeling wild. (and if i had 3 more extra bands)Folder: I plan to keep small loose notes in here, maybe a movie tickets or something too.Sticker book: obviously to keep my favorite stickers usable, but also as a way to neatly hold stickers to put inside various other inserts at a later dateRo-Biki: a higher quality paper in a pretty ivory tone I plan to draw and doodle onPlastic insert: my work gives out cards with yearly schedules on them, that will go in one card slot, the zipper part already has some sticky notes and a Pilot Birdy Switch in it, this is a very tiny multipen that is one side ballpoint, one side mechanical pencil.accordion insert: I want to draw a map of the country and fill in where I’ve visitedLined Insert: journaling, this is the most natural page style to write on for me in this manner.Blank: jotting down thoughts and ideas (I write a lot and you would be amazed at the ideas that slip through your brain like sand through your fingers if you don’t immediately write the basis of it down)Grid: shopping lists, structured lists like birthday gift ideas, etcI plan to add one more insert when it arrives, a blank weekly planner, which I will add birthdays and my own holidays on.

I recently purchased this journal after watching several videos about the Travelers Notebook. Initially, I was unsure if I would consistently use it, so I opted for this more affordable option, despite having bought numerous accessories for it. While I was initially concerned about scratches, I found that many can be easily wiped away with a finger.I am very pleased with this journal. The included accessories are excellent, and even with additional items, the notebook remains compact. I particularly appreciate that it comes with three additional bands already installed. Overall, it is an outstanding journal, and I highly recommend it.After purchasing my journal, I decided to buy one for my daughter. The leather on her journal is not as thick and appears softer and different. I ordered another one, thinking the first might have been a fluke, but the new one was the same. We will see how hers holds up compared to mine.

Didn't think a scrap of leather, some elastic and some paper would change my life like this, and yet... here we are.Well made, the petina already forming is encouraging, the air of confidence it produces when I slap down a set of notes from a todo list (from another brand's note filler, but we won't go into that, but pro-tip: get the weekly undated planner with todo list on the right hand side, and you'll be surprised at what you get done in life).The size isn't ideal, but honestly, the hyper pocket sized ones aren't ideal either if you wear a suit like I do. But this is perfect for the "Just large enough to not forget, but small enough to tuck in the overcoat pocket, or under the arm" space that just kinda works.At the risk of getting too into things, I started using notebooks like this, because I saw my dad use a daily planner, and after his recent passing, I wanted to leave something tangible and written down, even the mundane "Hair Appt / Oil Change" notes for my own child to see decades from now after my time has gone and it is their time to reflect.
