Do just put this into the tank like a dose for white spot or is it a dip
Should this be put in pond?
I want the pond version of this but search just brings up pond melafix, is there a pond version of the primafix?
How long does it take to work?

Visible improvement after first 24h

My tank recently crashed and I had big spike of nitrites, that started affecting my fish. Black phantoms started developing fin rot and few neons had what some would describe as NTD, others as cotton mouth.I do not have spare tank where I could separate fish for the treatment so it had to be done in the main aquarium that holds shrimps too. I am now on 4th day of the treatment with 3 doses already applied. In all fairness I am using it along with melafix and results are amazing. My shrimps are thriving, plants are growing, fins on black phantoms not only stopped rotting but are already rebuilding, neons are very active and their spots on bottom lip are barely visible. All that with ammonia kept at 0ppm and nitrites going down as expected. Might do another week treatment after water change to prevent any issue from coming back. After adding medication to your tank water will start bubbling. That's absolutely normal and will go away so don't pay attention to it. Don't get it on your clothes, carpets etc as it might discolour fabric.Overall would highly recommend

Jesus!!!!

Blam! ...and the fuzz is gone!My fantail lady had an Alien Lifeform on her back.We were suffering feeding dominance aggression from the male. So I bought some Elodia for them to graze on, to lower the stress...&...Fantastic! a fungal outbreak.... 😖Dropped this in the tank, as per instruction and had visible control within 48 hours. Gone within three days.I hit it hard and fast and there wasn't much to destroy...but it did....rub out the AlF.She looks better and so does he. Brighter, more coloured.Makes your room smell like Swiss Spa too!

Truly a Godsend

I bought this originally because my fancy goldfish has a funky looking mouth; thinking maybe this was cotton mouth I used this religiously. Seems that’s not what he has as nothing changed and he is still just a funky mouth fish but he can eat and there’s no change so I think he just has a deformity! Anyway despite this my other tank had been chugging along fine then one day two of my guppy girls came out in white lumpy splodges! Panicked as I’ve had these two since they were born, worrying it’s ick but looked more like a fungal thing, I stuck some of this in the tank last night and prayed that I wouldn’t find them dead in the morning. So this morning I approached the tank in trepidation only to find one of the girls has NO white splodges left other than a slight white mark, and the other girl who was worse off has only got light white marks left too!! While they’re not out of the woods yet, this stuff has given them a real chance! Get this in your fishy medicine cabinet so you can use it straight away if you need to. I never expected this tank to get a fungal infection as honestly out of my four tanks this one is the clearest and the water tested fine. I guess these things happen sometimes. Anyway get it!!

Brilliant stuff

I bought this as my betta was showing signs of fin rot. After 5 days of use fins are looking normal again and I have a happy betta again swimming about no longer lethargic. This is also OK to use in tanks with shrimp and snails. Just so you know this does cause extra bubbles at first on the surface if you have air stones in, but these disperse within an hour or two and don't cause harm.

This stuff nearly killed all of my fish.

I bought this as it said it was safe for all fish and invertebrates, I have khuli loaches and snails with my fish. It was easy to read the instructions and give the correct dose but after 5 minutes my fish were gulping for air at the surface. I already have an air pump/stone in this tank but I took the one from my other tank to try and help. It did a little so I turned to Google. Pretty much all the forums said the same thing, it's a waste of money, it's tree oil that does nothing but poison the tank and that I should do an immediate water change. I changed 50% of the water and left it at that. This tank has been up and running a good few years with no issues, I only used this as a precaution because I thought that one of my cherry barbs had an odd looking patch on it's side, I guess I will never know now as 3 of them have died. I think this stuff has killed off the beneficial bacteria too as today the water is super cloudy for the first time since I set up the tank!
