I've been using these for a couple of weeks and they have stayed sharp, feel very good in the hand and I feel very in control when using them. I've bought these to replace my cheap knives that started to go loose in the tang. Confident I won't have to replace these for a long time.

I already have one of the most expensive knife sets available. A Wusthof Classic Ikon 6 piece.Very good, but now £600-£700. I paid £400 in 2016.Obviously a one time purchase.So these ZWILLING knives are obviously not as good. Looking at the equivalent Ikon knives, they are circa one third of the price, and it does show in the finish but NOT in the performance.I would say these ZWILLING knives are equivalent to the Wusthof Gourmet range, which are about double the price of these. I would therefore also expect the Wusthof Gourmet to be better, but I do not have any to compare.They are very well presented in a linen knife roll and the packaging in general is decent, so they would make a great gift.A very good introduction to 'real' chef's knives, and the price I think is fair for what you get.Also good to review something made in Germany for a change!Excellent!

You get two very high-quality knives from the well-known ZWILLING brand. I suspect they are the best knives I’ve ever owned. You get a chef’s knife and a pairing knife. Both come with sleeves, which helps to prevent you from actually cutting yourself. They are very sharp!In terms of longevity, the steel is hardened. They have a plastic handle, which is an advantage as they can be placed in a dishwasher with no issues.Only time will tell if they continue to perform well. For now, though, a clear five-star set.

The knife set everyone needs in their kitchen! They’re so sharp and you don’t need to do any additional sharpening or cleaning. I love that it comes with a protective cover pouch for both knifes, they’re expensive for two knifes but they’re such great quality they will last a very long time with good handling and maintenance.

This 2-piece knife set started off sharp. Went blunt fast after a few uses, though. Handles feel good, nice weight in hand. Looks sleek in my kitchen block. Disappointed they dulled so quickly. Expected better edge retention.
