Small, light and works great!
I waited a few weeks before posting this review to see how this player performed and I have to say it is a great little device. It's very small and light so its perfect for the gym or for walking. The Bluetooth connects to my wireless earbuds effortlessly and stays connected. The storage space is more than enough for hundreds of songs but is expandable. Its a little quirky to figure out at first but after a few minutes of playing around with it it all made sense.

Small, lightweight, improved BT MP3 player.
This is a great inexpensive MP3 player! I was looking for a wireless MP3 player to use with Bluetooth earbuds at the gym to replace my ancient iPod nano and wired headphones. I also own a non-Bluetooth version A02S. This player is labeled A02XT on the back, and appears to be a newer version of the model as it had several additional side buttons which do not show in the pictures on the Amazon webpage nor on AGPTEK's website. There are now Volume Up and Volume down buttons on one side, and a Back button on the other side in addition to the 5 buttons shown on the front. These make changing volume and going back one screen so much easier and intuitive than with the prior A02 player on which you needed to manipulate several buttons on the front to go Back one screen or change volume. Bluetooth setup was very easy and haven't had any random disconnects. Sound quality is excellent. Be aware that the volume maxes out when using Bluetooth at a medium loud level, not super loud. You can copy songs from an iTunes playlist to this player, and have it play in the same order by doing a copy and paste (not drag & drop) of songs in the iTunes playlist into one of the Playlists in the folder on the MP3 player which can be seen in the Finder. If you select that Playlist to play songs on the MP3 player, the songs will play in exactly the same order as in your iTunes playlist with no change in sequence. It does take some time to transfer songs from your computer to the MP3 player especially you try to fill all 32GBs with songs.I did cause the player to freeze up when I erroneously pressed the Back and Vol down buttons together. To unfreeze, hold Play/Pause button about 10 seconds, screen goes off, then powers on, and all is good, no loss of files.I haven't tried any of the other capabilities (voice recordings, photos, etc) but I only purchased the player to play songs, and it does this perfectly.

Awful Product. Terrible customer Service. Disappearing Playlists. Missing music from playlists.
The Good. The Bad. The Ugly. Nice packaging. Smaller and more lightweight than my Sony MP3 (not that it is a good thing, just stating a fact). I purchased this to "give it a shot" because my SONY MP3 NWZ-E385 16gb walkman started having a lot of trouble restarting and freezing (this after only a month, having had my previous earlier SONY model 8gb walkman for 6 years with no problems until it died). Because it was purchased as a "refurb" on Amazon, I had no warranty. The reason I chose this model of AGPTEK was because it had a slot for a micro SD card and was affordable. I purchased a 64 gb micro SD card. I was already using the AGPtek recommended Media Go with my Sony MP3, so transferring my music and playlists was a breeze. Transfer to the micro SD was rapid. I placed about half of the music on the player itself (about 1000 songs and 6 playlists). I placed about 1000 songs and another 6 playlists from those songs on the micro SD card. The micro SD card can be accessed by using the micro SD card placed in the adapter and inserted into the USB of your computer. Or while the AGPTek is plugged into your computer, MEDIA GO lets you choose which storage option easily (the micro SD (called the card folder) or the player itself: called the local folder). Each still has a ton of room left! I wish SONY Walkman had this micro SD card option. The GOOD news ends there. The bad. Fully charged, I went to work and looked through my playlists to begin my day. I wear gloves all day so having a playlist that lasts 4, 6, 8 hours or more is extremely useful so I don't have to go back to the player menu and remove my gloves. I noticed some of the playlists I had added to the player (local folder) and to the SD card (card folder) were missing. Hmm. Okay. I figured I must have done something wrong. So I listened to a couple of playlists that were showing up. Not having the computer with me, I could not verify how many tracks should be in the playlist, but I started to think, some stuff is missing. Back home that night, I plugged the player back in. Interesting, all playlists in both locations show they ARE there. But they were missing when trying to access them that day. I double checked the tracks that should be in each playlist, hmmmmm, a lot of tracks were missing! So I tried to "re-put" the playlists but each time Media Go would say those were already in the playlist. I did this double checking every single album, every single playlist. Fully charged, back to work the next day. SAME PROBLEMS. I also use my playlists for themed parties. It is essential to know that the playlist will be there and all the songs/tracks are included. Over the next couple of weeks I tried to solve the issue myself. I removed everything from both locations and started over completely....a couple of times. The playlists that didn't show up at all always changed. One day they were there, the next day they were gone. However, the missing tracks from the playlists never showed up. I read over every question submitted on the Agptek forums and Q&A site. I submitted the problem on the AGPTEK Q&A site on around July 14, 2016 with no reply. I also tried to submit with the form on the 'contact us in agptek' website but an error message keeps popping up. Note: when the AGPtek is plugged into the computer and you access it in Media Go or Windows Media Player, all of the playlists play perfectly. The UGLY. I emailed "Leo" at AGPTEK (as instructed on the limited warranty card) beginning July 24. In 3 weeks time we have went back and forth and back and forth. I asked them for help and that I would post the solution to Amazon.com to help out others with the same problem. I have spent countless hours trying to go through the playlists to tell them exactly which songs were missing. The very first email "he" replied to, he suggested to update the firmware. I did. No resolution. I went so far as to screen shot my computer and to send them a 9 page color .pdf document. I showed them some of the playlists that had tracks missing from both locations (micro SD and the player itself) and how they look when the mp3 is plugged into the computer (complete) and what the original playlists and albums look like in Media Go. I typed out the song information (file size, etc) for many that were missing. I also sent them a photo of my AGPTek screen so they could see how it looks on the player. I have spent more than 10 hours on this and trying to make it as simple for them to understand so they can send me a solution. (I have a lot of Asian and international friends, so I'm used to breaking down the language to make it as easy as possible). Each response from "leo" seemed to be more and more confusing and evasive. (it no longer seems like a language barrier but a stubborn attempt to push me off) For several emails they only focused on the SD card. (the problem is the same on the player itself and the SD card). At one point, even after the in-depth .pdf, they wanted me to video my player and send them a video of the problem. Are you kidding me? One email response from them included a link to a brief youtube video on how to create and transfer playlists from Media Go to the AGPTEk. I had already told them I did it successfully and had been using Media GO for a year with my Sony Walkman. Another useless response. At one point I asked if they ever read the .pdf file I sent to them. When they became obsessed with the SD card, I asked, AGAIN, what about the player itself?? Forget about the SD card, what about the same problem that the AGPTEK player is having? No response. Two things they will have you check is: "And the player support mp3 format:Bit rate(8kbps-320kbps);Sampling rate:(8KHz-48KHz)"-they wanted me to check everything or send them the songs. Say what? There are HUNDREDS of missing songs. I checked everything myself and ALL of my stuff met these requirements. All of my albums are English titles with no strange characters (something I read on a Q&A). Remember everything I put on there was on my Sony Walkman with no troubles. If you have ever been swindled you know that one thing a swindler will do it to talk in circles. Talking in circles to confuse you so that in the end you don't even remember your original question or problem. I believe this company is a joke. The customer service is terrible. Not only is the problem as stated simple to understand, they have never once offered for me to send it back (I saved everything and the box) to have a repair done. On their warranty card it states "AGPtek offers a warranty of 6 months", but get this, it goes on to say, "if you leave a good user rating for our product, the warranty date can be extended to 12 months as an extra return for you". However, on the box itself it states "5. The device comes with 12 months warranty. Please contact us at leo@agptek.com for granting 60 days money back protection." I am sure they are hoping I will give up and go away. Time for me to inquire about this money back protection. Wish me luck. BTW, my husband kept searching and found more people with the same problems with this player. Learn from our mistakes. BUYER BEWARE.
