I'm sorry I only use this product in my chickens houses to get rid of red mite .

The powder shoukd be ingested. I have been advised had a teaspoon into food exactly every 30 days, as this breaks the parasite cycle. I give it the day before and after. I would give tablets, but I use this for a feral that is hyper skittish.
