I have thin and "bendy" nails that make it difficult for hard gel manicures to last, as my nail is flexible and bending under the hard gel of my manicure/extension causing the product to lift from my nail. Rubber base gel was introduced to me as a solution, and that is how I use it. It is now the first layer of all my manicures, with or without extensions, and helps build shape and strength without lifting AS MUCH. One nail at a time, I apply a thin "slip layer" of rubber base and then take a larger amount of rubber base, plop it near the base of my nail and push it up to my cuticle line and then float the product down the middle of my nail, creating a sort of "V" line. After floating the product down, I float the product towards the side walls if it has not already started doing so on its own. This product self-levels pretty well. Then, I flip my hand over, palm facing up, for 30 seconds to a minute to help create an apex. I always check the leveling, from the side and with my finger pointing towards myself, before curing. Once cured I proceed with filing any unevenness or small bumps. Sand to etch the surface a bit, then go in with builder/base gel/polish/etc. Whereas before I could maybe go 4-6 days before seeing lifting, I can now go 12-14 days, depending on how much energy went into nail care. There is definitely a learning curve here, so I would recommend first time users allocate plenty of time for the beginning nail sessions using this product. It is quite viscous. The smell does not bother me, but I still always use a mask and suggest others do as well, especially if they are sensitive to nail product smells. All in all, don't get me wrong, there is still lifting, however it has been noticeably reduced and does not happen as quickly or as often, effectively doubling the lifespan of my manicures. Because of that I do not have any complaints.

This color was pretty and it lasts long. It’s a bit thick however it does say that on the box and also says u can put it in hot water for a few minutes to make it less thick. Overall great product

There are more good things about this polish than bad, so I'll start with the bag. The pull back is REAL! I applied this the same way I apply my tried and true polish but this one pulled back from the tip of my nail from the jump. In turn the tip of my nails separated from the polish pretty early on causing them to break underneath the polish. So I just lost some of the length but nothing detrimental.And now, after it's been on for 2 weeks, it's starting to get kind of brittle. Weird but ok. There's also some lifting towards the back of the nails that started a few days after application.Otherwise, the color is great. The coverage is great. It's easy to apply. Burns like h*** while curing (hotter than all my other polishes) but that's not really a surprise.If you were putting this on nail tips or filing after curing it would probably be just fine. But I'm a gel to bare nail kinda gal, so it's not really working the best for me.Overall not bad, just not great either.

I get so many compliments on this color. It's the perfect hue of milky pink. Makes my hands look clean and love how strong it makes my nails.

This product is a game changer. I have soft nails and using the rubber base is a game changer. I can have 'done' nails all the time as it is easy to use on myself. I can now grow my nails out a bit more. I work with my hands and I get wet all the time. The shine can wear out if I 'dig' too much, but all I do is remove the old top coat and add a new top coat and I can extend the wear.By using an electric file to remove a few layers, I can leave some product on my nails, thereby protecting them, so there is no need to remove the entire thing every time. My nails are strong and healthy. Key is to lightly file surface of the nail, dehydrate, prime and apply 2-3 coats and then a top coat or polish and top coat.

I’ve been doing my own gel manicures for over 10 years and have a professional light. My nails are naturally thin and flexible, so I use builder gel to help strengthen them. I heard a rubber base is more flexible and will bend with my nail, and therefore won’t lift. I’ve tried this a few times now. Applies easy, and is good for leveling out imperfections, and looks nice. Unfortunately, it only lasts a week at most before it lifts. I do all the proper nail prep steps, but still have lifting. I had high hopes a rubber base would work for me, but it doesn’t. If you don’t have issues with gel polish lifting, this will probably work great as a builder gel for you.

Super durable. I am not nice to my nails and this has held up! I even had to trim my nails before removing this polish because my nails were getting too long to deal with 😂I don’t usually let them go for more than ~2 weeks… but I think this would hold up for another 2 weeks if I let it!Time to soak off and start anew.. 😀

The self leveling on this is ridiculously fast it doesn’t give you enough time to work on your other fingers. I had to literally paint one finger cure that same finger then paint again if it need it. I would literally have to do it to each finger. It took me 3-4 hours to finish doing my nails with just only the rubber base then it would take me another 10-20 minutes to file because it would always looked jacked up. This is not easy to you. I do not recommend this brand

I love this product. I use it on top of my medium/short nails to make them stronger... and once I used it to “patch” a broken nail and worked great. It’s a great layer to put over sparkles to smooth out the top as well if you don’t like that lumpy texture from sparkles. Cures perfectly clear. It’s a new staple in my gel nail collection! ❤️ Highly recommend

There is definitely a learning curve to this product but you can create multiple layers in order to achieve the desired effect and you can buff the nail if you went on too thick. The product has the perfect consistency and the colours in the set are beautiful! This is my first time using this specific rubber base and all I did was top it off with a top coat!

I use this as a base coat for fusion gel. Don’t think that is the intended purpose but it works for me. Regular base coats left me with a lot of lost nails and lifting but this has proved durable. I think it is because it has some flexibility.

My polygel mani has stayed fresh for over a week. Can’t believe I didn’t know about this product sooner. The regular base coat doesn’t work as well with nails lifting on the edges and even popping off within a couple of days.

Lovely colours , nice consistency. Will buy again
