This will be a lot less expensive than a Generac for powering my house.
I have included an edit toward the end of this review. I mention one possible negative that was not previously discussed.I bought this unit for emergency power for my home. I haven't put it to that use, and I hope I don't have to, although I will eventually test it through my circuit breaker panel. But after testing today, I believe this generator is going to do just fine.I read through the manual before doing anything else. Some assembly is required, but not much, maybe 15 minutes. Tools are supplied. This is a heavy generator, so an extra pair of hands will definitely help. Adding oil (included) would be easier with a longer funnel (also included) but it's not too bad.I had some trouble pairing the remote start key fob to the generator. The instructions didn't seem to work. I finally did get it working, but I'm not sure how!I ran the unit for an hour on propane, following the startup procedure in the manual. I'm using the propane tank from my BBQ grill. No problem with startup. Recommended break-in time is 5 hours at no more than 50% of the running load. I'm going to run the unit for an hour at a time until I reach 5 hours. I used the two AC units in my RV for the load. That way, the thermostat can cut the load in and out, which is recommended during break-in. The generator handled all the load with no problems noticed.I measured some sound levels using my phone. Here are the average numbers at different distances and taken from all sides of the unit.1 meter : 83 dB (loud)10 meters : 68 dB (loud, but not bad)15 meters : 40 dB (in house, door closed, quiet)EDIT on May 30, 2025I completed the 5 hour break in using gasoline. This wasn't my original plan, but I wanted to test with different fuels. Everything worked perfectly. I have connected the generator to my house. I wanted to test powering the house before an actual emergency came up. I started with the stove top. I figured if anything went wrong, it could handle it, since it's just a high-powered toaster! The stove top pulls a lot of power at 220 volts and the generator definitely bogged down. But it recovered to full RPMs quickly. I then turned on another burner, with the same result, bog down and quick recovery. I then switched over to testing a low-power 120-volt circuit. Again, no problems. The bog down is hardly noticeable with the lower power requirements. All in all, I am pleased with how the generator has performed. The only negative I can really point to is that the frequency display has the output frequency pegged at 61.2 Hz, instead of the standard 60 Hz. This has been consistent over a wide range of loads and fuel types and is 2.5% above the standard. For simple resistive circuits, such as stove tops, clothes dryers, and water heaters, this does not present a problem. But for electronic devices, such as a TV or appliances that have an electronic interface it might become an issue. I haven't tested that aspect yet, but if I do, I'll include the results in this review.

Hurricane season and storm insurance
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Capability , Versatility, price. Wish we had it last hurricane season. It would have saved us hundreds of dollars on lost frozen foods plus we could have run the A/C. It's one of those things you hope you don't need but are glad to have on hand. My son assembled the necessary cage and wheel parts and had it up and running within 40 minutes. He is an electrician in the Navy Reserve and he was impressed with it. We look forward to handing this down to him and hopefully one day one of his children. Ease of movement: For its weight it's fairly easy to move around due to handle design. Capacity: Will run our whole house if needed. But plan on just essentials with on and off cycles to conserve fuelNoise level: quieter than others I have used. If you need more quiet you can rig up a plywood screen to go around it as a baffle. Power source: Gasoline , propane , natural gas

Absolute Beast of a Generator – Reliable, Powerful, and Versatile!
I purchased the Westinghouse WGen10500TFc after doing a ton of research, and I’m beyond impressed with its performance. This generator is an absolute workhorse. With 13,500 peak watts and 10,500 running watts, it easily powers my entire home during outages, including the AC, fridge, lights, and more. What really sets it apart is the tri-fuel capability – it runs on gasoline, propane, or natural gas, which gives you amazing flexibility during emergencies. The remote electric start is a game changer, especially when you don’t want to go outside in bad weather. It also comes transfer switch ready, making it ideal for home backup.Build quality is solid, and the wheels make it easier to move despite its size. It’s a little loud (as expected with this power level), but the performance more than makes up for it.If you’re looking for a dependable generator that can handle just about anything, this is it. Highly recommend it for home backup, job sites, or even RV use if you want overkill reliability.

Westinghouse 10,500 W generator tri fuel
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I picked this product because it had some really good reviews and I’ve been happy with my choiceProduct quality: The product came boxed very well and was an excellent condition when I pulled up from the box. Everything was there as subscribed and a manual and very easy to assemble it runs very well and cannot wait to hook it up to my house when I need it, but there’s a few things that I have to receive before I can move on further but as of now I give it a five star rating and would recommend buying this generator.

Rolls well and produces what it claims.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Received generator today. While it won't help me now, I was pleased to see I had been upgraded to a tri-fuel model. Attaching wheels and feet took a little heavy lifting, but got them attached. It rolls easily on the solid tires. Added oil and attached a propane tank and it started on first try. Meter on generator showed producing 240 volts. I checked with my own equipment and it matched the meter. Very happy with my purchase and appears it will run what I need during a Hurricane power outage here in Florida.
