Phenomenal value.
Really love this product! I use this for textbooks for my classes, Manga, and a few E-books here and there so my review will be centered on these points of interest aswell as the overall usage and feel of the device.Hardware: The device feels fantastic to hold, it's light weight and doesn't cramp my hands after hours of reading. The battery is also phenomenal, on an average month I charge it once if I happen to notice it's getting a little low, but I've also ridden out an entire day at school with 15% battery life left. The screen is exactly how you would expect an E-ink display to be, with a few caveats I'll touch on further on in the review.Textbooks: My school provides online textbooks by default now when you sign up for a class (you pay for it by default aswell 🤮). The only issues, is that the only way to access the books is by web browser, or via a specific APP. If this were a Kindle, or any other closed ecosystem product I wouldn't be able to utilize my books at all, but having access to the Google play store made it a non-issue. My only compliant for this category is that navigating between chapters and pages can be a little slow, and when a professor randomly jumps around it's hard to keep up.Manga: this works well, but not exactly what I hoped for. The screen does make it look just like paper, but slmething about the aspect ratio makes Manga panels not quite fit width wise, which is a bit infuriating considering the screen isn't very big in the first place. The high speed refresh rate mode is amazing for Manga. The big con in this category is comic books, some work decently, others have to much shading/detail and it kind of overloads the screen. I'd imagine it would be better with a color display.E-books: I actually have an app that allows me to "rent" books from my local library, again this is something that might not work on closed ecosystem devices. As an ebook, it works fantastic. I prefer the standard refresh rate and to swipe to a new page opposed to scrolling, while the scrolling works, I find the choppiness of the display (when not in high speed mode) to actually make me nauseated. Besides that, it works great for E-books, and even PDF's if you aren't lucky enough go have access to your public library's system.Overall, for the price I cannot recommend this E-readee more. Plenty of hours on it, multiple charge cycles and no issues at all, hasn't even slowed down.

Broke after less than eight months
I've had this for less than eight months. The power button no longer works. The unit routinely refuses to connect to my computer. Someone *completely unrelated to Meebook* told me to try quitting Preview and Dropbox. It had to be someone completely unrelated to Meebook, you see, because Meebook has *absolutely no customer support whatsoever*—I have *never* been able to contact them. The battery life on this was bad, even before I was unable to turn it off and on.I strongly recommend NOT buying this.

Great reader. With a few issues.
I'm going to start by saying I love the M6 and I have zero regrets. It works great for what I bought it for. That said, there are some things that do not work well on this device.1) Wi-Fi will drain the battery at a rate of as much as 1% per minute and the device gets quite hot using Wi-Fi while charging. If you want to browse the web or social media this isn't the device for you.2) There is no internal speaker or headphone jack and Bluetooth cuts in and out unless Wi-Fi is turned off. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi don't simultaneously. Trying to stream audio is impossible, but playing downloaded audiobooks or music works great. Maybe this will be fixed with a software update, but as of Jan 2024 streaming audio is a no go.3) Except for the Kindle app and Libby, my favorite reading apps don't run well on the M6. But that is okay, because the built in reader is actually excellent. It even works for comics and gigantic scanned PDF files. Now the good stuff.1) Battery life with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Location turned off is excellent. 3 to 4 hours of reading per day will use about 5% of the battery. My BOOX Nova 2 goes through 5% battery in a day just sitting on standby.2) The SD card slot supports cards up to 1TB in EXFAT. I've got over 400gb of reference books and texts installed. Even Kiwix with complete offline copies of Wikipedia and Guttenberg works perfectly. If you're going to do this, don't go cheap on the SD card, it needs to be a fast card for Kiwix or searches take forever.3) I really can't praise the built in reading app enough. It handles nearly every format I throw it easily.4) The M6 is very comfortable to hold. The bezel width is perfect and comfortable in many different reading positions. It's much heavier than my Kindle Voyage, but it doesn't feel like it.I've been using e-readers since the Sony Reader came out in 2006, and I currently have a BOOX tablet and a couple of Kindles, but the M6 is my "daily driver" that I carry everywhere.
