Mercedes Benz E350 Coupe A207/ W212 ILS Replace Original D1S Headlight lamps
Noticed that one of headlights had recently turned pink when I looked back in a multi storey car park. It then failed completely only a few days later. Wanted to replace with a trusted brand and retain the original colour temperature of the headlights which is around 4300 - 4500 Kelvin for best overall night visibility as higher colour temps look whiter but are not necessarily as good for actual night vision. Ordered these Osram Original Xenarc D1S 66140 with the hope that they would be the same as the Mercedes Benz dealer bulbs and low and behold when I removed the cover to replace the original lamp I was greeted with exactly the same Osram 66140 lamp already in place! Now credit must go to Osram as these are the ORIGINAL lamps fitted to the car so that's a very good lifespan.. After looking online I was a bit worried that the replacement process might be a bit torturous but in the end it was very straightforward as I am fortunate to have the access panels with a small thumb turn release, built into the wheel arch liners so really all you need to do is raise the car on the jack to improve the clearance and access the lamps. (It's probably possible to do this without raising the car but it's a bit tight) A quarter turn of the round cover inside reveals the back of the lamp which is easily removed with another quarter turn and the cable disconnects by pressing the small metal clip. Be careful not to touch the new lamp with your fingers as it will shorten the lifespan. There is a plastic ring that unclips from around the buib that you reuse on the new one. Just make sure the small lugs engage in the same place as the original and you're ready to refit the lamp with the same quarter turn. Refit the round cover to seal the headlight against any dirt from the wheel arch .All in all quite easy to do at a massive saving over main dealer cost and the initial impression is better light output than the old lamps. (Follow up: after a three hour night drive and the new lamps are clearly better than the old, main beam in particular, so I should have changed them sooner just as a matter of course)

Great bulbs and price for Volvo S80 2007.
I bought the D1S version for my 2007 Volvo S80. These bulbs are a great colour of white and look fantastic at night with a great beam pattern. Volvo headlights were easy to take out of the S80. Took about 10 minutes per light to change out old bulbs and install new bulbs. Best to change both bulbs at the same time and keep older one (s) as a spare just in case. Great price at £34 each too. Don’t go to the main dealer to have this done, save your money and time and do it yourself!

Great.
Pricey (all are). That’s said, a great bulb with good light colour. Bought for TT MK1 8n stock headlight, fit it in just a couple of minutes, with no issues. Didn’t do the pair, but it matched perfectly fine (dated but same bulb).

Buy these ones
A clear difference in brightness. The whole beam area is consistent with no dark spots. Very much worth the cost. The colour temperature works well in damp/wet conditions. I find the more white/blue tint gets lost in those conditions. The difference between these and the night breakers isn't worth the £. These are the ones to go for. My car is a 2016 Mazda 3. I bought and returned a couple of cheaper bulbs and finally thought I'd spend some money. I'm so glad I did. I can now drive at night and see the road ahead.

Good product at a good price
Hard to fault these. Bought these for an Audi A8 which was suffering one bulb going "pink", which meant it was on the way out. After doing a lot of shopping about and weighing up between OEM philips bulbs and non-OEM cheaper aftermarket ones, I opted for these. The main reason was that they were quite a bit cheaper than philips, but still a well known brand and promised extended beam etc. Also, changing bulbs on an A8 is a bit of a handling (either remove air fliter housing & move power steering pump or else take off wheel and remove wheel-liner to gain access!), so I weighed the extra cost against the hassle of having to replace them again if they went. Anyway I decided that the standard osram D2S was the best mix of cost and quality, then I saw the nightbreaker twin-pack for around £7 more than two standard ones, so I went for these. They came well packaged and looked to be good quality, as you'd expect from a German brand. They were definitely genuine, but after reading a few dodgy stories on forums I opted to buy from Amazon as a seller, so you would expect them to be genuine coming directly from Amazon. Anyway, fitting went well and they are both on my car now. I've only been out a few times at night in the city so far, but they are good, better than before I don't know. It'll take a late night out of town run to confirm that, but they do appear to throw light around the front of the car better and I no reason to expect they won't be good out in the real dark. As one other reviewer said already. They are a good obulb, but I wouldn't be "upgrading" to them unless I had to change a bulb anyway
