My Costco Leather lounge chair is about 3 years old. I don't use it that much. However, the other day I tried using the power button to recline....nothing. No sounds, just seemed to be dead. The usb plug was dead as well. There are 2 power cords that plug into the wall outlet (120 volt) and the chair appeared to be powered properly due to the led light on the outside of the chair (in back of chair). I flipped the chair over to make sure all the connections were still connected...they were. I also have a 3 prong a/c adapter in the chair that worked fine along with the usb's (inside the right arm). It appeared to be either the emomo hx90 plug or the motor. I decided on ordering this hx90 replacement since it was the cheaper of the two. That fixed the issue immediately. It was a perfect fit. My guess is that my cat sleeps on the chair at times and may have pushed the buttons for a long time and they shorted out(?). It did take some time to feed the switch thru the chair (son helped with that). I taped a wire (so i could pull the new switch cord) to the old switch and pulled it thru (must cut black tie strap in order to get out). Then un-taped the old one and taped new cord to the feeder wire and pulled it thru. Open up all arm rests to give you some room to pull thru. Taped the new cord to the same place as the black tie strap since it is long. $54 fix to an $800 chair!!!! Back in business.

Bought these Abbyson recliners from Sam’s club a few years ago. They have barely been used. Both recliners went out within weeks of each other. Switch worked great. We popped off the cover with a screw driver and gently wiggled out the old switch while it dangled. Flipped the chair upside down and tied the end to a string. Pulled the string through and then tied it to the new switch and reversed the process. Had to cut the little hole a bit bigger and wiggle it back and forth a minute but didn’t have to undo any staples or destroy the bottom of the chair.

Was worried it wouldn’t work. But it works perfect! Saved us from replacing our chair.

Perfect replacement for fit and looks. This part fixed my issue with the recliner not operating. However, the "return to upright position" button is reversed. It reclines instead.

Great switch, i found it immediately by the picture and its exactly the same as the old one. Old switch suddenly got hot, my wife could feel it on the buttons. I turned over the couch and could find the switch box was even hotter than the buttons. Dealer wants 49 bucks just to come look then we would have had to pay their price to buy the part plus install, so I bought this switch for 55 (ish) bucks and put in myself in about 5 minutes. Frame (silver) pops off with a screwdriver, then two screws on the outside to detach it. Then under the chair, flip the cover off that holds the two halves of the wire together and unplug the wire, and then push the switch out from inside. Install in reverse. Very easy and fixed our issue much faster than waiting for a repairman.

Defective part. Very dissatisfied and now it’s past the return date.
