An Effective Solution for Troublesome Hardware
I wanted to use some old fight sticks with my Xbox Series X and this has worked great. It gets my upvote. The first thing I tried is a Mad Catz Tournament Edition for PlayStation 3. This stick is notorious for not working with most modern systems due to its use of the USB UHCI spec. It's super obscure but I guess it seemed like a reasonable choice fifteen years ago. It's not supported by every USB host controller as countless forum posts will tell you. It works fine with the Mayflash MAGIC-X. (And the Magic-S as well. I haven't tested every Mayflash product but they seem to use a common code base for firmware so it should work everywhere.)I then tried a Razer Atrox for Xbox One. That stick is notorious for using an unusual button mapping for the left and right triggers. The MAGIC-X did not handle this correctly. But, to the company's credit, the support engineers truly went above and beyond in dealing with this issue. They acknowledged the issue, acquired an Atrox locally, reproduced the issue and are working on a firmware update. That's the best I could ask for.The last controller I tried was a GuliKit King Kong 2 Pro over Bluetooth. That worked fine with both an Xbox Series X and a MiSTer FPGA.Latency is fine. It doesn't hurt me when playing Super Mario World or any fighters. I've not done a careful latency study. All in all I'd say this is a great solution for the serious home gamer. Someone looking to use it in a tournament would be well served to give it a shot and report any issues to Mayflash directly.

Worked great on my Xbox series X for a flydigi apex 4 elite. Worked with and without the flydigi dongle

workswith Swich controller (unlike the Brook Wingman XB)
The Magic-S Pro 2 has been out for a while, and is one of the most versatile and best adapters (with regard to latency) on the market. It works with PS3, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, PC and Android. The controllers supported are Dual Shock 3,4, Dual Sense, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Xbox 360 (wired or wireless with wireless adapter) Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Wii U pro, Wiimote, and select wired usb controllers for pc.But the Magic S Pro never supported Xbox consoles….until now.I’m happy to say this adapter is just as good as the Pro 2, but you will still need to have separate adapters if you wish to use one on your PS4 or PS5, and on Xbox. The Magic X supports the Switch, PC and Android like the Magic S , as well as the OG Xbox (with a usb adapter) but only supports the PlayStation 3….not the PS4 or PS5. It would e been great to have an all in one that can do everything, but I’m happy they finally decided to support the Xbox. Now, getting back to my headline with regards to switch pro controller support. As you may know, Brook has a similar adapter called the Wingman XB (and XB2) that supports the same consoles and pc, and it’s a great adapter with no noticeable latency…….EXCEPT for one. The Switch Pro controller doesn’t work correctly on any of the Brook adapters. The latency is horrible. Like really, REALLY bad. It’s something I haven’t seen mentioned in any of the written Amazon reviews because most people probably don’t use the switch pro controller on other platforms. Well, I have and it’s bad. Even after Brook put out some firmware updates to supposedly fix it. It didn’t do anything and the latency is atrocious. The Mayfkash doesn’t have this problem and they’re is no noticeable latency using the Switch Pro controller with the Magic X.So, it boils down to one controller in the battle between the Brook Wingman XB and magic X, with the magic X taking the crown by a very slight edge.

A Good Solution for Leverless Controllers on Xbox
I bought this to be able to use my leverless controllers on my Xbox Series S, mostly because my gaming PC heats up my room a lot during the Summer months. The Good: I can use most of my leverless controllers on my Series S with relatively little fuss. I did have to update the firmware on one of them, but the other two that I own were plug and play. It took a little while for me to figure it out, but most of that was me making it more complicated than it needed to be. If I can save anyone trouble - don't use the passthrough input if your controller has both, just use the standard output. The Not-So-Good: There is input lag. It's not a lot, and it's 100% workable, but I did find myself noticing it occasionally. I haven't used other dongles (and I don't think there are that many out there right now) so I can't really compare it to something like the Brook converter. Weirdly, the input lag seems to vary by controller. One of mine has almost none, another one it's much more noticeable. Why? Your guess is as good as mine. The Potentially Ugly: I have some concerns about the durability of the dongle. The plastic is thin and flimsy, and the USB on the adapter already had some wiggle out of the box. I'm not sure how long it will last especially sticking out the front of my Xbox, but, I guess at the end of the day, it's not that expensive and it works.

Works fantastic with third party controllers especially Flydigi!
Coming from a lifelong Xbox user I have only used native controllers. Was sick of the stick drift and limited functionality. Found a subreddit full of controller recommendations. So I gave it a shot when the Vader 4 Pro came out last August. I’ll never go back to a native controller again. I have a Flydigi Vader 4 Pro and Apex 4 OG the Wukong version won’t work because of the 2000hz, and I go back and fourth with and they work flawlessly. Well done mayflash you changed the game.
