Brilliant Device
It is a brilliant smartwatch. It's UI and Animations are better than that of Apple Watch Ultra and Samsung Galaxy Watch 5. Go for it if you aren't hooked to the Apple Ecosystem. Perfect companion of your Android smartphone or Google Pixel.

My first smart watch
I cannot compare this to competing products but I can say, as someone new to wearables, that I am not regretting this purchase. I mainly wanted 2 things out of this.1) A convenient extension of my Pixel phone2) Basic fitness metricsThis product checks both those boxes. And this watch doesn't look bad on my wrist either. Anything beyond that I'm taking as a bonus. Compass app? Nice. Flashlight? Cool. Didn't think I needed those but I'm glad they come at no extra charge. Now, I'm talking about the bluetooth edition because for the extra money I really don't see what advantage I would have with LTE. I'm also using the just free tier of Fitbit. You get plenty of info with that for no extra charge. And it looks like Google Fit has some support for this device too. (A few additional tiles for heart points and such.) The battery life is fine. I've turned off the "always on" display to extend battery life. This means I have to tap the watch to see the time. This gives me about a day and half to 2 days of life before a recharge. That seems to be the best trade off as you need to touch the screen anyway to do anything other than look at the time. My one complaint is that it does not sync with my phone enough. For example, my 'Do not disturb' setting should sync. But I'm hoping that software updates fix these issues.

Not user friendly, kind of small, have to pay for features in Fitbit Premium after 6 months!
I do not recommend this watch. A) it frequently disconnects from my phone and I have to manually reconnect it. B) You have to download 2 separate apps and sign up for Fitbit Premium with is $104 a year after the 6 month trial if you want all of the features that are free with other watches. C) Just a personal gripe but it's smaller than other smartwatches. I like a chunky monkey and this just isn't it. D) The battery life is substantially lesser than the other leading smartwatches. E) It's just plain complicated and weird. Not intuitive whatsoever. Overall I really dislike it. It's a cool design if not on the small side. I'm not impressed.

more comfortable than Apple watch (bonus tip on Dexcom readings)
I've gone back and forth between Apple and Android, and I've always thought that the best thing about iPhones was the Apple Watch. I've always been disappointed that Android users didn't have a really good smart watch option. But now we do! The Pixel Watch does everything I want it to do, plus it looks great and is very comfortable for my narrow wrists. I have had a few little hiccups, but I expected that since the device is so new. Google will continue to release software improvements, but it's certainly good enough right now.The battery is not ideal, but I can get by with charging once a day. It will charge ~30% quickly but it takes over an hour for a full charge. If you don't need a new smartwatch right now, it might be worth waiting for the second generation so they can improve the battery life.[This advice is posted Nov 2022 and may become outdated very quickly] For my diabetic friends: It is possible to get your Dexcom readings on the Pixel Watch, but it's not out-of-the-box. (That's Dexcom's fault and true for all Android watches). If you want to get your Dexcom readings on your watch, take some aspirin first, and then search Reddit for your options. There are multiple options but I had the best luck with an app called G-Watch Wear App. In the photo of my watchface, the Dexcom reading is the middle circle, and I also have the option to open more detailed info. When I had the apple watch my Dexcom data would fail to update but there was no way of knowing. On the G-Watch app, there is a little timestamp showing when it collected the data. Dexcom refreshes every 5 minutes, so if the timestamp is more than 5 minutes old you may want to check your phone for your most current reading.

Important flaws with this watch
It was a Christmas present for my husband. He loved the look of it and it really is a nice looking watch. However, the most important things don’t do well. As for battery life, he cannot even get 12 hours out of it. In the ECG, it can’t be found. it says the ECG app is installed. However, when he looks for it it isn’t there and it says it’s not compatible with this watch. So we will return this one. Try one more and go from there.
