Excellent product for knocking back too-blonde highlights
I ordered Harmony in Coco and in Victoria to dull down some overly blonde highlights (my natural hair colour is dark brown), so my review is based on choosing between these two colours for this purpose.I would say the depth/darkness of colour is the same for both, but the Victoria has very pinky-purpley undertones and the Coco has more subtle coppery/gingery undertones. It's the blondest hair (and presumably grey/white hair) that picks up these undertones the most, so if you have no blonde/no grey, and are applying to dark hair, you probably wouldn't see much difference between the two choices. But the clear winner for me (with blonde highlights) was Coco, as the resultant coppery tones were attractive and natural looking, blending in well with the chocolate base colour, whereas the pinky-purple tones of Victoria were quite striking and looked very much 'like a dye job'.Always do a strand test (easy with Harmony as it is pre-mixed); I did undersections of hair and left for 5 minutes, then 10 minutes, to see what the effect was. When I did the final 'all over' job with Coco, I left it on for 10 minutes. As previous reviewers have commented, it's pretty messy to apply (though no more so than any other home dye) so my method was get into shower cubicle, wash hair, towel dry it and then apply the dye with the shower running (but directing it below your head). That way, any drips of dye are immediately diluted and washed away before they can stain the shower tray. Then I stayed in the shower cubicle (turned off the water) for the 10 mins developing time and rinsed off and conditioned my hair. I used half a tube for my jaw length bob.I'm really pleased with the results - with the 10 mins developing time, my hair has been knocked back a couple of shades, but still has nice variation from the way the dye has reacted differently to the blonde highlights, vs the toner, vs my natural colour.

Fantastic but very temporary colour
I’ve been searching for a temporary hair colour that covers greys for months, and I’d tried about 5 before I found this. It’s brilliant. You might find you need a couple of applications before it covers your greys. I did my second application a couple of days ago, about a week after my first, and my greys are completely covered. If I look very closely I can see that the newest greys are slightly lighter than my natural hair colour, which is very dark brown. But I’m happy with that - it gives my hair a more natural, multi-toned look.I’ve knocked one star off because although it says it lasts between 4 and 8 washes, it fades much more quickly than that. But I only wash my hair once a week so that’s fine for me.If you’re covering greys, leave it on for longer than the instructions say. I do an hour and put a plastic bath cap on.The consistency is runny but I don’t find that a problem. Just squeeze directly on to your head and massage in. And wear gloves! I got some on my face but found it came off easily with cotton wool and warm water.Great product for those of us who want to avoid permanent hair dyes!

Very gingery and quite runny
I agree with the other reviewers on the colour and runny consistency. Much like a lot of these brown box dyes they are either yellow based or purple based and this one has very rich yellow / orange / ginger tones. The best thing to do is get one of each and mix a bit of both so they neutralise each other - which is what I normally do with the “L’Oréal Age Perfect Touch of” range - which were perfect. But sadly and very annoyingly they seem to have been discontinued (which is utter madness from a business point of view as I, like so many others relied on continued purchase and use of those to cover my ever growing grey hair)… So I am back on the hunt for a new alternative. This alone won’t do it as far too coppery but perhaps mixed with a purple based one it will be okay. As far as grey coverage - so far so good. I applied this on dry, unwashed hair for 25 minutes and then used my normal shampoo and conditioner to wash it out - and it’s fairly well covered. I imagine it’ll only last 3-5 washes like the others but that’s okay with me as I’m used to including this dying process in my hair washing routine. A big plus is that 3 tubes for £10 it’s pretty much triple the product for the same price as the L’Oréal one. So perhaps this will be my new go-to afterall…!

Walk... don't run. Harmony is back.
For any other old people like me who had a love affair with Harmony wash in wash out colours back in the day finding out that this long discontinued product is back felt like too good to be true. But it is back. And it's almost the same formula as before and just as cheap.Old trusty is back!I'm giving it one star because I don't want the younguns finding out about this secret holy grail product. I am buying in bulk and not sharing.I am gatekeeping the joys of Harmony wash in wash out hair colour.Don't buy it, it's all mine, I don't ever want to go without it again. If there is a zombie apocalypse and I have to live in a bunker I am prioritising this over food or life saving medications. I would actually push my granny out of the balloon if it was her or this product.Sorry Granny, you don't give me shiny multi toned cherry red hair like this, you've got to go.I repeat DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!Or rather actually, yes, BUY THIS PRODUCT so demand increases and the company produce more. Not that that ever works, this was an extremely popular range back in the day (going back to at least the 1800s here when we all wore bustles and crinolines) and the heinous folk who decide to discontinue MUCH LOVED products still discontinued it.SHAME ON THEM!!But also: I LOVE THEM. THANKYOU FOR BRINGING THIS PRODUCT BACK!! I am buying a lifetime supply.
