UL Approved & Software Updates keep it working steadily
They are UL approved or listed, I forget which one but I did look it up. They're relatively straightforward to install. YOU NEED A NEUTRAL WIRE. I've installed 3 of these in my home, and likely will look to get the 3 way switches at some point. We've had one issue where the physical button didn't work and I had to flip the breaker. When I went into the app to check on it afterwards, there was actually an update waiting for that EXACT problem. I had it on auto-update, but there are certain ones that do not auto-update.The quality feels a bit cheap, the look is nice, though I am not the biggest fan of their branding on the wall plate, those are cheap and easily replaceable. I wish the switch itself was a toggle up or down rather than a physical button push, but as I have not used any other smart switches, I don't know if this is a universal design or typical to GHome. I bought into this product when they were named Gosund and use a few of their smart receptacles for standing lamp lights. The LED light is app-controllable, you can set it to be on when the lights are off, on when the lights are on, or off entirely.

They control my house
This switch is used throughout my house and works with voice commands (SmartLife/Alexa). I have used both single pole and three way switches. I have dimmable and non dimmable switches. The range of the light level is easily controlled either through the app or by sliding your finger down the face of the switch. installed all of them myself and the process is straight forward. I am not an electrician but am comfortable wiring 120v and 220v circuits. I have never had to replace a switch due to a failure.

Overall, I’m happy with the GHome SW5 smar switch
I bought this switch to replace One that failed after two years and was out of warranty. To be fair, it switches an attic fan, which has a pretty high draw. So maybe that is why it wore out. My other switches like this are doing fine. With this newer addition of the SW5,the face plate snaps on instead of screws on. It might be quicker and easier, except if the wall is not flat, it’s a bear trying to get the face plate to click on. You have to back out your screws, holding the switch into the wall so that it will snap on. This leaves the switch Attached loosely to the junction box. Also, the switch comes with set- screw type terminals instead of pigtails. I can’t make up on my mind if this is better or worse than the original design.

Works perfectly. Slight delay on touch
There's a slight delay on touching to turn on. The screws can fall out easily when connecting to the compression connection. Otherwise great device!

THE SWITCH STOPS WORKING.
I purchased a 4 pack of these switches and i'm on the third one now. About 3 months after installation, the switch stopped working, but the voice control (WIFI) still worked. You simply couldn't turn the switch off by pressing the switch itself on the wall. You had to use voice command to turn it on and off. So I switched it out and put a new one in. SAME THING after about 2 months, the switch stopped functioning. It's a good thing I bought a 4 pack i guess, because i'm about to install a third one. I do NOT recommend these switches for the fact that 2 of mine have failed. I have other wifi switches in my house and they work fine. I would not buy these again.
