I have purchased these several times over the years.Good quality lighting.In my application they are on 24x7 (day and night) and in a warmer area (typically 84 degrees).There are under the ceiling (dry) but continuously exposed to the outside air.I would estimate that they last about 1 year in this usage/environment.I do not want the LED look.. as a result I will continue to buy these as long as they are making them :)

My grandparents got their kitchen remodeled two years or so ago and three out of the four of their light fixtures have these bulbs (totaling 6 bulbs). The ones in the store were really expensive so I found these online and we decided to go for it. We were slightly skeptical (more so my grandparents) when buying these bulbs because they are much lower in price than we expected to find but they have been great so far. They came faster than expected and the box was not all beaten to pieces either. Our light fixture has a max of 50 watts. These bulbs are a lot brighter than our old bulbs (Which were somewhere around 30 watts).They seem to be doing fine so far, although they do have a slight hint of pink light that comes out of the back, but you can only see it if you look closely at the light fixture. Its not really a big issue. I only mention it because at first we thought there was something on the globes surrounding the bulbs, but the pink shade is actually from the rear of the light. It disappears when the lights are turned off and people have only noticed after we pointed it out. Next time we need to buy bulbs this will be the first place we look.I will hopefully update on the lifespan of the bulbs sometime in the future after we see how long they last.*Edit* It is 12/31/2011 almost two years from the date they were purchased. I haven't really kept track of the bulb life as we have three different fixtures totaling 6 bulbs. But so far I think we have only replaced one of the new bulbs once. I would estimate we got about a year or more of use with it being used daily for many hours in the kitchen. I would say they have lived up to or exceeded our expectations, especially at such a great price.

Ok wow for the amount of bulbs I got and for the money conpare to hardware stores I was so surprised. I'm stocked for life. Seems to work just fine, I wouldn't know bulb from another. But it gives me light. Great price I can't go wrong.

I ordered these bulbs since they were by far the cheapest around, even after the shipping cost. They came a few days after ordering, relatively fast compared to most independent sellers, many of whom wait until the last minute. My lighting track came with 3 sockets for GU10 bulbs, and I added another. I previously had 4 50w bulbs. I would estimate the lighting provided for my room from 3 50w is about the same as 4 of these 35w. The color is more of a yellow hazy light, a noticeable difference from the more powerful Philip 50w I had installed. As a result, I always feel as if its late at night when the lights are on in the room. I can't speak for the same brand's 50w bulbs, but I know a lot of people who would go nuts being in a room with such lighting. Keep that in mind when purchasing. I know nothing about the longevity of these lights, I'll update when one goes out. I give 4/5 stars since its what I expected, nothing too spectacular.

The bulbs arrived at my door faster than I expected. I opened the box and the bulbs were just sitting there in a plastic bag without any packing peanuts or bubble wrap which I thought was strangely odd since they're light bulbs and can be damaged pretty easily. I checked all the bulbs for shattered glass luckily there was none. So far all the bulbs seem to be working just fine. I'll send an update once they begin to burn out. I placed them in the kitchen and hallway which we use quite often so hopefully (crossing fingers) they last as long as promised.

I had been buying the same type of light bulbs at Walmart for a long time before I realized “Hey why not see if Amazon has a better deal?” We have 3 light fixtures in our home that use 5 light bulbs each. The Walmart ones would burn out in 2 months. At $4 a piece that was getting to be expensive so we gave these a shot. They last forever! I took a screen shot of our order history so you can see we pretty much just bought a 12 pk once a year! Huge savings and way better quality.

Nothing bad to say. They work. They fit. They last. Had mine in for about 3 months now (using at night time only mostly), and not a blown light yet. The price is great. For THREE bulbs at one of the big box stores ("L") it cost $14 and change. This box of 12 is four times that amount FOR LESS! We compared to make sure the voltage & wattage were the same and I suspect these bulbs will actually last longer than the ones from the big box store. Don't let the inexpensive packaging fool you, ours came in little individual boxes with little round spacers that held them snug. Not one broken. All worked straight out of the box. Hope this stays available because I refuse to spend $170 on light bulbs. (Going forward we now avoid buying fans/lights with these bulbs because they are so expensive to replace).
