Ottimo
Acquistato per delle attività da proporre a scuola, davvero un bel materiale. Trovato ad un prezzo top, costava meno della versione basic pur includendo delle schede di attività!

Lovely colours
This game might not be perfect, but it is entertaining enough and does help children understand all the basic concepts in maths you can find discussed in Montessori method. I mean, the very basic ones. The instructions might not be the most enticing, the way they are laid out is slightly unclear/generic. But, on the other hand, it is easier to treat this toy as an open-end toy. The cubes are not the most alluring but they work and it is possible to build things with them. You can also use the cubes for counting, sorting and so on, but they are too tricky to handle for the very young learners as the cubes are quite difficult to stick together and not all of them stay in place all that easily, so the manufacturing process could be something to look at and improve. I like the colours on this set. Firstly, boys like pinks too. Secondly, why not make building slightly more 'romantic' too. Well done for bringing in this palette.

Disappointed
I have the official number blocks sets of these cubes so when I saw the box with the pictures of towers I was excited for an additional element to add to these cubes ... should have read the fine print .... false advertising in the images. This is just stacks of cubes, no additional elements. These are a copy of the number blocks cubes down to the shapes in the side of the cubes (without the number blocks elements to create numbers)The cubes are good quality and the colours are lovely so if what you're looking for are cheap cubes to use at home with maths learning these will work well for you.The activity cards that come with it couldn't seem to decide what age they wanted to aim themselves at and are all over the place. I teach Reception and wasn't impressed with them and won't be using the cards. If you're just after cubes in different colours, these will work well for you, they're easy to clip together and stay together well. If you're looking for more, this isn't the set for you.

Educational fun
My grandaughter is 5, and learning the basics of maths, so the subjects were familiar to her, but this provided some fun extra practice at home. I like toys that have an educational side to them. The set consists of 100 plastic cubes, which fit together. Each cube has different shapes on, and there is a set of cards where you have to perform different challenges. The first one is fairly easy, but quickly they get more challenging, asking the child to work out which cubes should fit in the pattern. My grandaughter enjoyed the challenges on the cards, and working out what was required by talking it out with me. Her older brother, aged 7, was also keen to have a go and show off his superior knowledge, and he liked playing with them as well.My gradaughter is into unicorns, so the fact that the cards had unicorns in the corner made it the perfect set for her. It's a well made set, but I think at the current price of £18, they are a bit overpriced.
