Dependable lamps with fragile pieces
The lamps was a dependable source. It charges in the sun (if there’s any), and lasts throughout the night. The only thing not last was the thin metal flaps (don’t really know what they for) we used them to hang on to the backpack, one of them got lost already on our first trip.

Useful, but the proprietary cheap charging cable made this a no for me
So I bought this because of the form factor and design. I like have an all in one design of lantern and fan and the solar panel just helps give you more life for a trip. I could get about 6 hours of running the fan on the internal battery. Thats fine. The plastic body does feel cheap, but it does make it very light for backpacking. Having the backup 3 batteries for the fan is a nice touch. However, there was one thing that made this unacceptable for me. That is the power cable. I wasn't thrilled when i saw that this was not USB chargeable and only can charge with the AC 2 prong cable. Looking at the images i thought it was a standard size 2-Slot AC power cable, but when i got it, i found its smaller than normal and therefore made it a proprietary cable. The cable it comes with is also very cheap and seems easy to lose. For backpacking and camping this is not acceptable. If only they just put on a cheap micro USB port for charging i would give this 5 stars, especially for under $20

Great light and battery but...
So far, this unit has great light and battery life but there are some significant cons that would stop me from buying this again.1. Fan is very loud.2. Recharging this unit requires the special cable that comes with it. It is not a standard USB cable to recharge so you need to make sure you don't lose it or you have to charge it from solar.3. Fan only has 1 speed4. For fan being so loud and spinning so fast, it has very poor air flow.Pros:1. Light is very bright.2. Battery lasts a long time3. Charges by solar.Honestly, if I didn't throw away the box, I would send this back. It's not worth the money.
