This product was so easy to install and would have saved me a huge headache in the beginning had i started with this instead of the standard plug protectors that my one year old has been pulling out since 10 months. They are basic looking enough, not tacky, and it takes some effort to slide the cover over so I don't have to worry about the baby being able to do it while my back is turned for a second! If there was any downside it is that your item needs to be very securely plugged in because of the space created between the outlet and the front of the plug. I have one plug that fits everything loosely and has always been an issue before I even had these covers, so don't blame the covers! I highly recommend.

We have a mix of old style and new outlets in our home, so we needed both single and double screw options. The outlet slides have enough tension that I cannot slide them open using the pad of my fingers. I have to use my nail on an edge to expose the socket and manipulating it afterwords is difficult. This lead me to believe that a toddler would have difficulty keeping them open to explore without tools and a lot of effort. The box came with the ten plates and enough hardware (screws and hole plugs) to install them. The reason I took off one star is because they only came with 3/4" screws and I needed to buy shorter ones to install them. Admittedly, this could be because of the peculiarities of my 1960s era house and not a problem with more modern construction.

Before this purchase, whenever our grandkids stay with us I always childproofed the guest room by inserting plug-in outlet covers. They were a pain to take out and then half the time I'd forget where I put them when I removed them. I could have left them in all the time but then vacuuming or ironing in that room requires removing them. Now, with these self-closing outlet covers, that problem is solved. The room is safe for our grandchildren and also it's easy and convenient for us to access the outlets whenever we need them. Easy to install.

These outlet covers are great and a much better alternative to the outlet plugs that seem to be harder for adults to remove than small children! My favorite feature is that if something is plugged in and the plug is quickly removed (let's say by a mischievous child) the cover immediately slides shut. One thing to note (and it is mentioned on the box) is that if the screw is too tight the outlet covers won't slide shut appropriately. I like my covers to be tight to the wall so they can't be moved or twisted but it's a compromise. Also, these covers aren't true white; more of a creamy white. Overall, I love these and plan to purchase more. You can't go wrong if you need to protect your littles from those tempting outlet holes!

Mixed bag. I installed with top and bottom screws. The plugs don't work well for the middle hole. Choking hazard so I left them out. Middleholes are more for looks than safety IMO.The one problem I encountered was that for some outlets, the space between the outlet and cover was so great that prongs would come out. I found four outlets that worked so I avoided a return. But I will have to find another product for remaining outlet that did not work. Not the product's fault but I did ding them a star.Great customer service.

Great company with a very fast response time. They answered my question within minutes! Shipped on time and with excellent packaging. Items work well on 90% of outlets. It is an older home and so some of the outlets are a bit wonky and was unable to fit the outlet cover on all of them. No need for the spacer that was included. Functions correctly as long as you don't overtighten the screw. The screws included are long enough when you leave out the spacer. 4 stars because this product is only available in a double plug option. I really need a 4 plug option.

These are the best products out there for childproofing outlets. Those plug in caps? Toddlers will pick those out faster than you can put them back. Not these. Remove one screw, replace the faceplate with this, done. They have worked perfectly on every outlet I've tried them on.

These will definitely keep baby out! The outlet parts can be very tough to slide over to plug something in. With that said, that is exactly why we bought this product and I know our son won't be able to get into them. We had some difficulty installing ours because we found that some of the plates wouldn't go flush against the wall. We were able to screw our base plugs in further and that helped to get all of the plates flush. It was a simple fix but it took us a little time to figure out how to best install them. I originally only purchased one set to test them out, but we will definitely be purchasing more.
