Nucleus for Raspberry Pi Zero & Zero Wireless - Wood by C4Labs

Very nice case for the Pi Zero. It protects it fine, and as I have ours set up as a PiHole on our entertainment center, the finish blends nicely with our furniture,It assembled easily, everything lined up. All of the hardware was there,If you have overly large, or clumsy hands, working with the small hardware may become frustrating. Assemble everything over a solid color t-shirt so that nothing bounces and gets lost when you drop something.My only concern initially was that I could not add a heat sink to this Pi using this case. But the case is well ventilated, and it occupies its own place on the shelf. It it not exposed to heat from other components. No overheating issues in the few months it has been running, 24 X 7.

I find this to be a handsome case by itself, but I suppose I'm partial to wood cases. Also even though I have a 3D printer, the local cost of the metal fasteners alone make this an outstanding value. I don't usually do reviews on Amazon, but wanted to point out that since it's wood, some simple chisel work can easily make room for a heatsink. With the addition of a copper heatsink in particular  Raspberry Pi Copper Cooling Heat Sinks 3 Pack , I think it looks fantastic! Since I'm using 3 for a homemade security system (search YouTube for 'Linus nest cams'), I was worried the camera connector wouldn't be usable. I carefully use tweezers & the clip opens just fine. It's working with my V2 NoIR cameras. The picture attached has a small 2x4 block for pounding & a 1/2" chisel for scale.EDIT: I'm not sure why some people say it doesn't fit the Zero W...that's what I'm using in my pic and everything is accessible & works

This case is great. All the pieces are cut cleanly and it went together with no problems. Everyone who has seen it thinks it looks awesome too. The wood is sort of... classy?All the ports are easily accessible, including the SD card. I haven't had any overheating issues but I wouldn't be surprised if it overheated for anyone over locking since it hugs the whole Pi Zero so tightly.Overall I'm very happy. It looks great, was easy to assemble, seems durable, and was inexpensive.

As a woodworker, this caught my eye, so I had to order it. Fits my Pi zero perfectly, and looks great. Subtle, artistic, and functionsl raspberries design when layers are assembled. I hope to see similar wooden cases being offered for my Pi 4Bs, 7” monitor, and camera.

The craftsmanship really shows on this case. It may be 3 CnC'd pieces of wood but the added detail helps both functionality and beauty. I am a woodsmith myself and this drew my attention immediately and am not disappointed with the decision. I do recommend placing the pieces together face down when screwing it in so the hardware that accepts the screws stay in place.

I love C4 Labs' cases. Each is a work of art.This one doesn't seem to account for the "camera" connector on the newer Pi Zero--it sticks out a few mm. I don't really care though.I had bought this assuming I wouldn't want to use the Zero's headers, but I changed my mind; hopefully C4 Labs has a case which exposes them.

Bought this for my Pi Zero W. My SO has colored acrylic cases for his Zeros and they're pretty nice. I wanted a case with a unique look to it so I took a shot on this one and it is perfect! The wood is beautiful and contrasts really well with the green of the board. The only issue I had with this case is that it didn't come with printed instructions. The instructions are available online but a print out would have been nice.

I was skeptical about getting this, but it is way better than my homemade styrofoam case. I just wish it had a mounting option for the camera board and the ability to mount it on my wall, but I guess I will stick with the command velcro strips
