Great replacement
Replaced the ears on my headphones since they were pretty old, and it makes them look good as new! They were easy to put on and they feel great.

So much better definition and bass
These are a perfect fit for my DT770 pro set. The originals were way, way overdue to be replaced, and I'm very glad I did, not just for appearance but for performance.Pros* Perfect fit* Exact same design and materials as the originals* Significantly improved bass response (due to proper cupping, rather than the flat areas that had formed in the old set)* Improved definition (presumably due to proper X-Y and Z positioning relative to my ear canal)* Better comfort* Improved protection for the headphone drivers (I replaced the foam base, not just the surrounds)Cons* Instructions are a bit sparse for replacing the flat foam piece and offer no slick solutions for carefully replacing the cups* No actual cons, specific to these replacements, but see 'Other thoughts'Other thoughts(These thoughts pertain to the DT770 only. If you don't have that set, ignore.)I am not pleased with the manufacturer's suggestion to use a 'flat, dull knife' to lever out the pads. Finger pressure alone is sufficient and will be far less likely to damage the pad. The vinyl isn't very elastic and this only becomes worse over time, so the pads only have about three times they can be removed and thoroughly cleaned, before they start to tear and eventually have to be stitched back together or replaced. There are no instructions on how specifically to remove the surround ring that holds down the flat foam piece. I ended up taking their other suggestion about the flat, dull knife and wished I hadn't. What seems likely to be safest is a very thin but strong, rounded (not just dull) knife blade. In my DT770 set, there's a very fragile cloth piece underneath the foam, and that is ridiculously easy to damage with a pointed knife.Fig. 5 doesn't depict at all the correct approach for the DT770; ignore that. Fig. 3 does (and is in the instructions as such, but just don't get confused).

Perfect fit and improvement to my trusty 770 Pros!
Perfect replacement for my trusty 770 Pros! Official package right from the source, couldn't ask for better. Was a 5min replacement job, done and done. Much much better fit now and feels like a new set of cans! Pic attached is before & after. I kept my old pads clean too, but age and 4 years with them was just time to swap. Glad I did! Don't think, just buy, and treat your cans with care and your ears!

Transforms DT770 Pro black edition!
I am a musician with mild-to moderate high frequency hearing loss, and I wear hearing devices. This makes choosing headphones more complicated than it might be. I own the black edition of the DT770 Pro with the black vinyl earpads. I never got on with them very well - their sound was too bright, with dominant mid-upper treble which made sounds like cymbals loud and grating, to the detriment of the midrange in particular. As a hearing aid wearer, I found that they also tended to cause feedback in my devices, which was irritating. It occurred to me that the more reflective surface of the vinyl pads might be partly the culprit, so I bought these OEM earpads, which also include a new foam transducer cover. The results were better than I expected - these are now my daily driver headphones!Pros:1. Much more comfortable than the vinyl pads - I could wear these all day.2. The new transducer cover considerably improves the sound signature by attenuating the inbuilt treble peak. Now the treble sounds clear and detailed without being too loud, and the whole sound signature is more balanced and musical.3. No more feedback (not an issue unless you wear hearing devices).Cons:1. They are a little awkward to install, so be patient. Beyerdynamic recommend heating the fold with a hairdryer, which might indeed make it easier. I managed without that, though.

Perfect
Perfect replacements. I got black when my originals where grey and got dirty fast. These are holding up great and feel like the originals.

Comfortable and High Quality
My old earpads were nasty and flaking off. They were the non velour ones and these installed nicely onto my DT 770 Pros. These feel very comfortable and I probably wont have to worry about flaking like my old ones. These also don't feel like ice cubes on your head on a cold morning. Highly recommend if you're looking to replace your old ones
