I use this Wilton clear vanilla primarily for decorating sugar cookies. Keeping icing bright and white is important. Traditional vanilla extract tends to tint royal icing a beige or off-white color, but this clear version keeps everything looking crisp and clean.Flavor-wise, it's definitely an imitation vanilla, so it doesn’t have the depth or warmth of pure vanilla extract. That said, it still adds a sweet, pleasant vanilla scent and taste—especially once mixed into icing or baked goods. It’s ideal when color matters more than complexity of flavor.Another plus is that the bottle has a narrow spout which helps control the pour and avoid waste. A little goes a long way. I've had no issues with separation or off smells, and the shelf life is awesome.Overall, this is a must-have in my bsking toolkit. First of all I haven't even opened it much less tried to bake with it so I'm just going to go on blind faith that it will be as good as the other Watkins Vanilla Extract which I purchased from a Watkins distributor years ago...and BTW Vanilla Extract does not have an expiration date as it never goes bad. But the thing that baffled me was the cap was just rolling around in the shipping box! Good thing the inner foil seal was still on tight on the bottle itself! There's just no way it could have become unscrewed and fallen off in shipping! I mention this because that very same issue has been mentioned here before!

Excellent vanilla extract. This is a family favorite so we always keep it on hand. No artificial vanilla for our baking! This is the real deal. Smells and tastes so good. Amazon has a much better price on it than purchasing it in our little town. We use about a bottle a month so you know it's a favorite! Highly recommend!

I am a pastry chef and just tried this at home! I was VERY SURPRISED! My husband says my baking has improved!! Was blown away actually and will never go back to any other type! Very little is needed as compared to pure vanilla!

Excellent quality vanilla that works just as well for cooked and uncooked goods without losing any flavor. We buy 1-2 a month at least (a lot of baking goes on here), but every time it gets shipped to us it either doesn’t have a lid or the lid is off and its only sealed by the plastic seal on top. It’s gotten to the point where we keep our lids when we throw the bottle away

I will continue to buy this vanilla flavoring for its taste and large size . It lasts me a long time too.♥️

Brings back memories. I actually made root beer snow cream, then pancakes which were excellent with a touch of maple syrup. My grandma used this brand and the root beer flavor would encourage me to try other flavors
