Joe Abercrombie First Law Series 3 Books Collection Set (The Blade Itself, Before They Are Hanged, Last Argument Of Kings)

This was a present for my nephew for Xmas. He was over the moon when he received it. Thank you so much😊

I tore through these books. I laughed out loud. I'm now a committed Joe Abercrombie fan for life. I won't try to do a book review here. I'm sure a lot of other people will, but I haven't got all day. Suffice it to say that Logan Ninefingers is now my favorite literary character and Red Country; which is a separate book from this trilogy; was my top read for 2022. You have to be realistic about these things ; read Joe Abercrombie's First Law Trilogy.

Loved it

Few authors can develop characters so well conceived and rounded. Even the villains are likeable. I hate the italic font in this publication, as the spacing is off making it (for me) a little difficult to enjoy. It's used often too.In all though, some of the best action fantasy I've ever read.

I very much enjoyed this series and am looking forward to reading the next!

This series is good but I'm just not sure about the ending. I know people will hate to hear this but glokta is probably my favorite 🤣 spoilers past here:First- why wouldnt they atleast talk one more time?(you know who!!)Second- so I guess the magi just comes down once every not so offen and does the same thing to get everyone in line? Why not make a 4th book or another 3 parter when the story repeats but this time the people actually stay in control? I guess I'm a sucker for a happy ending...Third- not enough detail in the magic stuff, im use to night angle, way of the kings, that shadow series from ve schwab(one of my new favorites, eventho those 3 series are probably my favs) this has a more of a faithful and the fallen feel in how the magic is there but takes a back seat.All in all, great series, just wish it had a more tied up ending. It kinda ended exactly how it started but I guess that's what he was doing for.

A good series worth reading if you are into grim dark fantasy. Although not as grim dark as one was lead to believe, but good. And a little humor which I enjoyed.
